39 in trenton, 41 degrees in philadelphia, wilmington and 37 degrees in millville. if you're down in cape may 46 degrees, a little bit of a breeze and the wind chill is probably making the feel of things about 5 degrees below the current temperature. 39 degrees by 7:00, so starting outhen things get beter in theafrnoon. sunny and 5noon and by 3:00, 54 degrs. st a little bit of a light breeze and down to 44 degrees with the stars out tonight. if you're sending the kids out oor to wait for tt looks like a the bus stop thi morning in philadelphia and about 34 in some of the suburbs. looks like milder air over the next couple of days and by the time we head into wednesday maybe the 60s in spots. i'll have the details coming up in the 7-day. >> we've got a brand new on 95. we can see the flashing lights with the police who have just arrived. can you make it out but that vehicle right here looks like a truck that's facing side ways rammed into the wall right there on northbound. watch for that one. we had an accident here in chester county a new problem here, watch for an accident investigation in cumberland county after a serious accident police are on the scene. traffic is getting by but the crews are out there investigating. a live look on the ben franklin bridge and we can see the traffic, a few cars a little bit of volume starting now. >> let's go to the scene in juniata. this is the 300 block of east erie avenue where a man is trapped in that garbage truck. you can see a number of workers pulling trash out of the truck. it looks like they've got shovels and rakes and everything else. it's not clear how they realized that the man was in the truck. as you can see there's a lot of trash in this truck. they're trying to get it out, trying to get to this man and we've got chopper over the scene. we'll keep an eye on this and let you know how this turns out. hopefully other than the chaos of it all, the man will turn out to be okay. and a three-year-old girl shot herself with a gun inside a home in philadelphia's kingsessing session. action news reporter katherine scott is live where that girl is recovering. and you've got more details on the story, katherine? >> reporter: that's right, tam. doctors here at chop are trying to save this little girl's leg after she accidentally shot herself over the weekend. her grandmother and her father are facing charges. let's go to video of that 64-year-old grandmother who was in police custody last night. police say her three-year-old granddaughter found her father's gun and pulled the trigger while in her grandmother's care. it happened sunday around noon inside this home. police say the girl's father told the grandmother to secure the gun when he rushed to work so she put it in the closet with no luck. the grandmother hid the gun after the shooting. called 911 from the home only reported a person bleeding and police say initially the grandmother wasn't helping medics who were trying to figure out what happened. >> they were try to term what happened inside the >> charges for the father and grandmother include reckless endangerment and endaeng dangering the welfare of a child. we're live in university city, katherine scott, channel 6 action news. >> the red cross is helping a gloucester county family that lost their home in a 3 alarm fire. firefighters were called and when they were arrived flames were shooting out of a garage. it then spread to the living room and kitchen. >> it is 6:05 and happening today reverend al sharpton is expected to visit meek mill in prison. the hip-hop star's attorneys claim the sentence was too harsh adding that the district attorney's office did not recommend any jail time for the probation violation. fans and celebrities have been protesting the sentence. this is breaking news from the british royal family this morning. prince harry engaged to meghan markle. the official announcement says that harry proposed earlier this month in london. she's diversed, biracial and three years older than harry. in the announcement they said the couple plans to marry this spring. >> retailers will be battling for your holiday dollars on this cyber monday just as it has every previous year, this one is poised to set new records. good morning, maribel. >> reporter: good morning. it's expected to be a record-setting cyber monday online shoppers will buy tonight. that's the forecast. orders usually peek between 8:00 and 11:00 at night. walmart has closed the gap with amazon on pricing. according to retail.analytics. stocks rose on friday. futures pointing to a higher open. new home sales, gdp and auto sales are due out this week. meanwhile there's a new number one at the box office. >> storm tracker 6 live double scan says we are dry and as we take a look outside we have been seeing cloud cover over the region but it appears to be breaking up and there's center city and i do think that overall we are going to see some sunshine charging back into play fairly quickly this morning. 35 degrees currently in allentown, 35 in reading and 34 in lancaster. still holding 41 in philadelphia and wilmington but with a bit of a breeze shifting more out of the southwest, it's feeling cooler than that. everybody needs coats even in those areas where you see 40s. millville is down to 37. here are those clouds overnight you can see how at the tail end of this loop right about here you can see them thinning out a little bit and i do think once the sun comes up we'll get a lot of evaporation going on and probably wind up with mostly sunny skies most of the way. in the lehigh valley we'll call it pleasant, 52, we'll see about early clouds. down the shore a little bit of early cloud cover but a transition to mostly sunny skies with a high of 56. philadelphia lots of sun overall a pleasant high of 54 degrees and winds out of the southwest a little bit breezy at times, 8-16 miles per hour but that's not too bad. overall you grab a little jacket this afternoon and you're in good shape. mostly clear and cold tonight, the winds dying down but 37 degrees the overnight low in philadelphia and 32 in the suburbs. so it will be a chilly start again tomorrow morning. but in the afternoon with high pressure off the coast and an area of low pressure and cold coming from from the west, we'll get a pro pronounced front and it's going to add a few degrees and that front will still be out to our west. we'll still get that mild flow from the south. we'll bust into the low 60s. 54, mostly sunny and pleasant enough today. tomorrow another chilly start but we get to 57 in the afternoon and it still looks like it's a fairly sunny day as well. wednesday still holding on to a lot of sunshine with that front still out to the west and a high all the way up to 62 degrees. now on thursday that front does finally arrive. we'll get sun giving way to clouds as a result and at night there could be some rain with a thickening cloud cover we won't have a chance to get as mild. a high of 56 there. on friday the way things are looking now we'll gradually dry out during the afternoon, stay cloudy overall. the rain chance this week is thursday night into at least friday morning. and for the weekend 50 with sun coming back and 53, sunny on sunday. hey now. >> 6:10. and details this up the camera so you can see the backup here. we've got an accident and when penn dot was zoomed in we're able to see a vehicle here facing side ways rammed right into the wall we can see the police on the scene and the reason you're backed up is because you're partially blocking the ramp here from 95 northbound to wood haven road the accident partially blocking the ramp a vehicle kind of facing side ways there. switching over here to other problems in the area, this actually popped up a minute ago in plymouth township on ridge pike at chemical road. again we had an accident in chester county. that accident just cleared so watch for that accident out there. the crews are on the scene. let's take another live look. this is i-95 northbound approaching 320 and we've got an accident scene, this has been out here all morning. a box truck went down an embankment on i-95 northbound here at 320 in chester and we can see a couple of emergency vehicles still out there even hours later here. and it's causing a delay in chester on i-95 northbound at 320. so watch for that accident scene there as well. waive had a handful of problems out there with traffic coming in. even though the road is clear and dry, it's just kind of cold out there. 35 in quaker town, 40 in malvern, it's 41 degrees in center city. if you're waking up in the suburbs clear skies, a few clouds no rain. 38 degrees in dover delaware. headed up to 54, temperatures above average. lots of sunshine feeling pretty good in the sun. >> new this morning an officer shot a suspected shop lifter at a mall in texas after the suspect pointed a fake gun at police. arlington police released these pictures showing the tense moments yesterday afternoon. the suspect was accused of stealing sunglasses. the suspect a man in his early 20s was taken to the hospital. his condition is not known. a new video shows police intact kal gear storming a mall in upstate new york this was the response after a man shot a gun into the floor of an american eagle store. it wasn't clear whether the gunfire was accidental. police in middle town are still looking for the gunman. >> the driver involved in a possible road rage shooting in a florida highway is now under arrest. police say he opened fire at another car in lake county on saturday morning. the 37-year-old man and a 17-year-old woman were inside that car and suffered minor injuries. donald is facing two charges of attempted murder. actress and singer naya rivera faces a domestic battery charge in west virginia. the "glee" star's husband says she hit him just cleared a second ago. we had a pickup facings side ways that kind of rammed into the wall. they just cleared the scene, we were seeing a bit of a backup northbound traffic moving a lot better. that ramp was partially blocked looking better now. we have an accident here in bordentown on the new jersey turnpike. you want to watch for an accident blocking the inner road. you can stick to the outer lanes where the cars go, but where the trucks go we've got an accident scene. 206 at bordentown. this is i-95 we're looking live near 320 and we can see this accident scene still blocking the right lane and it's creating a backup as you head towards the commodore barry bridge. it's been out there for hours. it was involving a box truck that went off the roadway down an embankment but the crews are still out there and that's backing traffic up here matt. >> chopper 6 is live over breaking news. we've been watching this scene taking place surrounding a trash truck in the juniata section of the city. officials tell us someone became stuck inside the truck amidst all the trash and they've been trying to get him out. the truck is parked along the 300 block of east erie avenue. it is unclear how the man ended up in the truck, but rescuers have a stretcher on hand. they're in the truck and we have seen the man move. so that gives us an indication that he's at least alive. but we don't know the person's condition right now. chopper 6 will continue monitoring this so we'll update this story as soon as we know if and when the man is pulled out of that trash truck and why he was there in the first place. new this morning, a deadly crash in south jersey left two people dead. a head-on collision happened late last night in morris river township, cumberland county. police are investigating but have not released details on what caused the crash. a three-year-old girl is hospitalized this morning for a gunshot wound that police say was accidentally self-inflicted. now that child's grandmother is facing charges. the shooting happened inside a home in the city's kingsessing section yesterday. katherine scott is live at chop where that young girl is recovering. katherine? >> reporter: matt, doctors here at chop are trying to save that little girl's leg. police say she accidentally shot herself after a handgun was left unsecured. a 64-year-old grandmother charged after police say her three-year-old granddaughter found her father's gun and pulled the trigger while in her grandmother's care. police say the child's father is also facing charges. it happened sunday around noon inside this kingsessing home on the 1300 block of south wilton. police say the girl's father told the grandmother to secure the gun when he rushed to work. >> he puts it into a closet, it's in a holster. it does not have a lock on it. we believe the grandmother may have fell asleep, we're not sure. >> reporter: the grandmother hid the gun after the shooting and called 911 from the home only reported a person bleeding. >> medics are trying to determine what happened inside the house. the grandmother is not helping at this point telling us she didn't know. >> reporter: police say the medics eventually got the full story, that the little girl was sitting on her leg when the gun went off. >> she has three gunshot wounds which came from one gun. it went through her thigh, through her calf. >> reporter: charges for both the father and the grandmother include reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child. the grandmother also faces an additional charge of winds blowing southwest at 9 miles per hour we actually have wind chills in the mid 30s in philadelphia and the 20s in some suburbs so it's a good morning to grab that extra gear. 35 degrees in allentown, 34 in lancaster, 41 currently in philadelphia and wilmington and mainly 30s down through south jersey and southern delaware. for a while overnight we had some clouds but they are eroding and once that sun gets up they should for the most part evaporate quickly. and overall today we are going for mainly sunny skies. 8:00 it will still be chilly in philadelphia at 40 degrees and just 44 by 10:00. but by noon up to 50 and the afternoon looks nice with a high of 54 degrees today, a little bit breezy at times but not horrifically so. enough to maybe provide you with a need for a jacket this afternoon. high temperatures 52 in allentown, 53 in reading, 52 in lancaster, 54 in wilmington, 52 in trenton and 55 down in cape may this afternoon and 57 degrees tomorrow. a little bit milder because we've got a frontal boundary inching toward us and high pressure coming off the coast and the flow between those two features will be up from the south and that will draw some of this milder air down from the carolinas and the virginias right up into philadelphia. wednesday that front is stig angling its way toward us and we'll still have that flow. we're expecting another sunny day on wednesday and highs probably getting up into the low 6 0s. not bad. today's high 54, mostly sunny and pleasant out there. tuesday sunny and a bit milder and on wednesday with that front still far to the west we're still expecting lots of sunshine and very mild conditions with a high of 62 degrees on wednesday. then thursday that front does get right at us. so sun gives way to clouds and at night there will probably be some showers. ahead of that 56 degrees not quite as warm because the clouds will prevent that warming effect from the sunshine. rain developing thursday night probably goes into friday morning. we do expect some gradual improvement friday afternoon but it's still going to be a cloudy one for the most part with a high of 54. so your rain focus is thursday night in through friday morning as it stands right now. then saturday it's clouds to sun, a high of 50. sunshine in the afternoon and lots of sun on sunday with a high of 53. not bad 7-day for this time of year. >> juniata section of philadelphia. really a strange story. somehow a man got stuck in a trash truck. it's really hard to tell. crews have been trying to get him out ever since they realized this was happening about an hour and 15 minutes ago. we've been watching these pictures from chopper 6, we've seen this individual move, so that's good news but they're having difficult time trying to get him out. the truck is parked on the 300 block of east erie avenue. again seems like he's moving. no idea why he was in there in first place. sometimes people sleep in these trucks or the trash, and it this day after a holiday you don't want to be sitting in this jam. this is northbound traffic at the commodore barry bridge. if you're trying to come out of delaware heading through delaware county on i-95 northbound you're jammed solid because of an accident at 320. the accident itself happened hours ago. it was a box truck that went down an embankment there. they've been blocking the left lane and this is the resulting backup because of that. really slow speed heading towards the airport on i-95 northbound coming up near the commodore barry bridge. watch for that traffic right now. here's a live look at the boulevard southbound. you can see the traffic getting slow as it hits the schuykill expressway because the schuykill westbound is backed up as you would normally expect at this hour. i just off the phone with police just a bit ago, that's this accident on ridge pike at chemical road. watch for this accident scene here. they're telling me it's involving a number of vehicles. they're waiting on the tow truck and there is a few vehicles involved on the ridge pike at chemical road. watch for that accident scene and people talking about that on the waze app as well calling the juniata section of the city. this is the 300 block of east erie avenue. we don't know exactly how or why this man became stuck in the trash truck but he's in there. they've been working to get him out. they have seen him move so we know he's alive. so a lot of questions here. this all began about an hour ago and we see a number of rescuers still in that truck working to free this man. they have a stretcher on hand. it appears he's moving and we've been waiting because it always seems they're just about to pull him out. chopper 6 will stay over the scene. >> this is the schuykill expressway,
