Looks like here comes a Police Officer responding to the accident scene. Well keep watching this south philadelphia 95 northbound, new accident just in approaching the walt whitman bridge. If youre headed the other way on 95 southbound approaching cottman, yeah, there you go, youre starting to tap the brakes with the normal morning delay forming here by cottman again southbound by girard. Over on the schuylkill, no issues this morning unlike yesterday morning but heading there from the southbound boulevard watch out for that disabled vehicle on the ramp from one southbound to the westbound side of the schuylkill expressway. In cheltenham township still have that crash along ashbourne road at new Second Street. I would use cheltenham avenue and tookany creek parkway as some alternates. Overin Burlington County it sounds like our overturned vehicle crash on 295 southbound by bordentown is in the process of clearing out. All lanes reopening there. And in camden there was a crash on the southbound side of 676 approaching collings avenue as you head toward the 42 freeway. Thats off to the side so all lanes are opened in that location as well. It is a sad update on the can condition of a new jersey state trooper who was struck by a vehicle on i295 yesterday. Lets go to the new Jersey State Police Facebook Page which just posted a sad announcement that 31yearold sean cohen the new jersey state trooper has died of his injuries. That just coming in through facebook this morning. Action News Reporter Katherine Scott has been following this 74 for us live and joins us lie outside the bellmawr barracks where that trooper used to work. Katherine. Reporter matt, thats right were told 31yearold sean cullen had been based out of bellmawr barracks for about a year now. Of course we just learned the sad development that cullen died overnight around 1 00 a. M. From head injuries. Were told that he was responding to a car fire and a woman driving by hit him. She stopped and has not been charged. We have reports of a trooper that was struck by a vehicle. Reporter it started with a car fire on 295 south near exit 24a in west deptford. A trooper from the bellmawr barracks responded around 8 00 p. M. As fire trucks arrived, the trooper was struck by a vehicle. Trooper is down. We got a trooper down. Reporter all southbound lanes were shut down for the police investigation. Its unclear whether the passing car hit the trooper directly or knocked the stopped car into him. Troopers at the scene updated his condition. Unconscious but still breathing. Reporter a medical helicopter transported the trooper to Cooper University hospital in serious condition. And again we just learned those new breaking details. The 31yearold trooper sean cullen died overnight from head injuries. Of course this remains under investigation but what were hearing right now is that the woman that was in the car that struck him has not been charged. The shooting happened on february 21st in the 1400 block of caspian avenue. One man was wounded. If you recognize the suspect Atlantic City police urge you to give them a call. And Wilmington Police are also investigating a shooting that sent children at a park scrambling for safety and a stray bullet into someones home. The bullet pierced the window frame of the home on the 2700 block of east 26th street yesterday evening. Fortunately it didnt make it inside and the family was not hurt. Two Delaware County parents are under arrest accused of leaving their threeyearold child alone in deplorable conditions. Police pulled over the childs father Stanley Hampton in tredyffrin township yesterday. That led authorities to the Regency Apartments on creek drive in radnor where the child was all alone. Police add the home was covered in trash and the burners on the stove were turned up on full to heat the apartment. Both lam ton and th lam ton andr have been charged with endangering the welfare of the child. The threeyearold is in custody of other family members.
