Were going to see a good amount of sunshine today but that moisture came through yesterday and now temperatures are below freezing. So you could see some slick spots. In fact its just 30 degrees in martins creek, 31 in quakertown sitting at the freezing mark in pottstown but below that in coatesville and Kennett Square. And we dip to 34 degrees in center city. In some of the suburbs in new jersey youre in the 20s. 29 degrees in buena, 31 in glassboro and 35 in dover delaware so it is a cold start to the day. But as we look at the day ahead were going to see those temperatures progress. So, by 8 00 a. M. , 39 degrees with sunshine. At least we have bright sunshine. By noon were up to 47. By 3 00 p. M. , only a few clouds out there and 53 degrees. By 6 00 p. M. , thats our high, 54 degrees today so temperatures this afternoon below average but it will feel nice with the sunshine. Same entering the work zone southbound by girard and were watching a crash in beverly Burlington County this morning by the United Methodist church. Its along Warren Street near van sciver. Also one in South Brunswick in the northbound lanes of route 27 near new road. One lane out of commission there. But in Camden County, this is the scene along 42 at creek road. Headlights coming northbound toward 295. Okay, thank you matt. Autopsies are scheduled for today on a Montgomery County couple found dead in their home. They were mutilated and Police Believe the weapon used here may have been a chainsaw and it was their own young son who discovered his parents in this horrible scene. And youre right it was that little boy that made that gruesome discovery. Now, police and county detectives spent most of the day yesterday at the scene and even this morning there was still a Police Cruiser sitting outside of the home holding the scene. At this point investigators say it is still early in the investigation. They will say they do believe that the wife they are treating her case as a homicide but at this point theyre stopping short of calling this a murdersuicide. Around 1 00 p. M. Tuesday police say a young boy discovered his parents dead inside their lower moreland township home and called 911. The death of the female seems to be an apparent homicide. However, the investigation is continuing. This is preliminary at this point. Reporter investigators have not released the names but family and friends and records show they were 43yearold Nicole Peppelman and 48yearold Chris Peppelman who operated this nearby Huntingdon Valley excavating company. Because of the gruesome nature of the crime it took First Responders police and county detectives hours to go through the scene. It appears the weapon was a chainsaw. Were told the couple were having problems. Police even responded in the past for domestic issues and recently the wife moved their three sons out of the home. Those who knew them shared their thoughts at a Prayer Service held last night at their church, bryn athyn cathedral. Were going to miss them, thats my thought. They were beautiful people, beautiful children and its awful, absolutely awful. Reporter and again you heard investigators say that they are treating the wifes death as a homicide at this point. Those autopsies that are scheduled for today should reveal more in regards to the manner of death for the husband but at this point police still saying its very early in the investigation. And prosecutors are looking into the death of a vineland man who died while in police custody. Officers are not disclosing the mans identity or the situation that led up to his arrest. Sources tell action news the man was taken into custody in the 100 block of great street yesterday. Police say the man was shot shot. New Jersey State Police are assisting in the investigation. Antimuslim ads set to roll out on septa buses today. Septa lost a fight to ban the ads in court last month. Erin ohearn joins us live at the big board with more. Reporter hi, nydia. It did lose the fight to ban the adds but Community Leaders are banning together to launch a campaign in response to these antiislamic messages called dare to understand. Mayor Michael Nutter and other religious and Community Leaders held a rally yesterday to encourage septa riders and anyone offended by the ads to channel their frustration constructively and not resort to violence. The American Freedom Defense Initiative purchased the ads which cost around 30,000. They depict a photo from the 19 40s of adolf hitler talking to a Palestinian Leader and the text underneath it reads islamicjew hatred its in the quran. Community leaders say the organization is hiding behind free speech to spread hate. This is the opposite of what our religion stands for. Therefore you should conduct yourself in a dignified and respectable manner and continue to do what it is that youre supposed to done that is to be a model citizen. While we treasure and fight for the right of free speech, we decry those who want to use this sacred privilege to incite hatred. We can do better. We in philadelphia want to construct bridges of understanding. A lot of Community Leaders taking a stand against these ads. Those ads will run for four weeks at 84 septa buses and as we said law set that court ruling to prevent the ads from run running but has imposed district guidelines to prohibit such ads in the future. There is another job fair for teens looking for summer work. Head to temple universitys Howard Gittis Student Center at 13 and montgomery streets from one until 2 oclock. The fair will provide teens with an opportunity to meet with employers and apply for summer jobs and internships.
