It starts at 3 oclock this afternoon and lasts until 1 00 a. M. Wednesday for snow going to develop later on this afternoon changing to sleet and ice which is show tricky to travel in and that comes just in time for your evening commute. Satellite6 and action radar showing were dry right now. Lets look at what you can expect. The current temperature 26. But the wind chill is just 16. Its cold out here. 14 degrees in allentown, seven mount pocono. Colder than yesterday morning. We have that cold air in place. Were currently dry. By 9 00 a. M. A few peeks of sunshine with clouds and 28. By noon were clouded over and 30. By about 2 00 p. M. Well hit a high of 34. By 3 00 p. M. Well start to come down from that and that snow will start to develop changing over to ice and freezing rain for your evening commute. At 6 oclock it will all still be happening. Later on tonight it changes to plain rain but heres what you can expect today. The worse time period from about 3 00 to 11 00 you get light snow, about a coating to an inch. Its really the timing of the snow thats the problem and it changes over to ice. You get about a tenth of an inch of ice. Its a slow evening commute. You might want to plan ahead and leave earlier. Matt are you starting to see more volume on the roads because of that . We are, yeah. Were seeing a couple other issues as well karen. I dont think theres any question in the whole march in like a lion lamb debate it is definitely a lion for sure. Theres a crash in falls township bucks county, southbound lanes of the super highway route win right by lincoln highway a vehicle hit the wall here and spun around the the vehicle just up ahead but you can see the Police Officers on the scene take out the right lane so a little bit of southbound slowing as you travel on the super highway down toward langhorne this morning. Elsewhere in bucks county in holland township theres been a crash as well and its closing buck road at rocksville road. Stay over on holland road instead of buck to get around that crash. Heres 95 where yes the volume is building on the southbound side approaching cottman, then again southbound approaching the work zone at girard. Coming off 95 and away from the walt whitman bridge watch out for a crash on 76, the schuylkill. Its mostly off to the side but its westbound just past 95 and front street. Speaking of front street at front and hunting park in hunting park theres a crash involving a vehicle on its side about a block weigh from edison high school. I think maybe i would stick with luzerne and whitaker to get around that scene. No issues so far this morning on the schuylkill but in hainesport Burlington County watch out for a fire closing fostertown road. Creek road gets you around that. Matt. Okay, matt. We turn to that story in just a moment. First some breaking news just coming in. The action cam is live at the scene of an Apartment Fire in south jersey. This is the wayne Terrace Apartments in collingswood. One of the units on the first floor caught fire and that spread to an upper floor. Fire crews remain there on the scene. We are told that one firefighter suffered a minor injury. It looks like everything is pretty much under control. That is our breaking news from collingswood. And also breaking, flames erupted at a South Jersey Church this morning. The structure was about two centuries old and it has been destroyed. Action News Reporter Annie Mccormick is live in hainesport Burlington County. Annie you spoke to the church s pastor. Reporter matt, thats right and right away i want to take you to where the bulk of the damage seems to be on this Historic Church that was built in 1811. At least the main portion of the building was. You can see up there a ladder truck is still there and firefighters are still pouring water on the building from both the back and the front of the home. At this hour no word from fire officials if this is under control yet at this point but we continue to see smoke rising from this building. Well, take a look at this video. This is some viewer video right after the fire broke out. It broke out around 3 15 a. M. The pastor who lives here tells us that he actually smelled smoke and that is what urged him to wake up and to walk over and call 911 and thats when he saw flames. Now, there are two pastors that both live on the premises with their families. It appears that the bulk of the damage is in the offices of the church. This is Easton Bible Church and in that Historic Building in the center of the church. Its not clear at this point if there was damage to the sanctuary and it doesnt appear that there is damage to that either of the pastors homes. This was a two alarm response. This is a rural part of Burlington County and so that means that usually at this hour they call in as many people as they can since many of the firefighters are volunteers in this area. Some of those trucks are now leaving but a large portion of them continue to stay out here to fight this fire. We talked to the pastor of worship. He is in charge of all of the music for this church and he tells us how theyre going to move forward. Gods sovereignty has plan for it but it just seems like a shame its an old building, its an Historic Building. It was a really neat building and so its its, you know, it will be hard to replace it. Reporter again back out here live you still see this heavy presence out here. That pastor telling us that he not only got his family out with his children, also the dog and the guinea pigs and also got the other pastor and his family out safely and that is the good news in this situation is that nobody was harmed at all. They tell us that theyre still working on notifying their congregation. Of course this is still very early since this all just unfolded hours ago. About 500 people in this congregation. They tell us though, they will still worship on sunday. Where they dont know at this point. Again theyre still waiting until dawn until we get some light on this following see how extensive this damage s for now reporting live in haines hainesport Burlington County.
