lower elevations should be okay with wet roads. the higher elevations you'll see slushiness. the steadier rain down the shore is off the coast, it's just light rain in south jersey. to the west it's still cloudy, you see breaks in the clouds. we'll transition into a fair amount of the sunshine later in the morning and afternoon. 39 in wilmington. 38 in trenton. still holding numbers officially above the freezing mark which is good for metropolitan road surfaces, keep in mind there could areas in between these numbers with the temperatures have sunk lower and slushiness up north. 44 degrees in cape may. as we take a look at the day, 42 degrees by 7:00 a.m. there might be lingering rain there. 10:00, 44, noon, 49. see how the sun is coming back, 3:00 p.m., we'll see a high of 53 degrees before zipping down to the mid 40s by 7:00 a.m. much colder air coming in by the end of the week, details ahead. >> reporter: we're live in upper merion, this is an area where it is just rain. we have temperatures above the freezing mark. we have an accident blocking all lanes henderson road shoe maker road and gulf road. we have emergency workers coming to the scene. you see the police blocking henderson road. police blocking all lanes. it's wet, but just wet to cause an accident right there. it's wet on the blue route, here's the accident in upper merion. it wet along the schuylkill expressway, the curve, no problems in the city, just rain here, as well as i-95. we had an accident that cleared on lincoln drive right at city avenue. watch for that, emergency workers have left the scene. it's looking better there. we had an accident blocking all lanes of the northeast extension northbound between quakertown and the lehigh valley. this is an area where we had light snow and icy mix. we had a patch of snow moving through i-78. the other big accident in hammonton, ac expressway westbound past 54. three accidents were involved here, police are saying it was caused by some horses that got out of a farm in winslow township and wandering around on the atlantic city expressway. it caused three different accidents. police had to corral them on the expressway. still blocking a lane westbound in hammonton. haven't heard of that much, tam. >> a philadelphia neighborhood has been rocked by 6 deadly heroin overdoses in a single day. investigators are trying to trace the drug batch before there are more deaths. katherine scott is live outside of police headquarters with the latest on the story, good morning, katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam, that's right, 6 fatal heroin overdoses all in the same area on the same night. this morning philadelphia police continue to investigate. let's go to video from last evening in kensington. these all happened in the kensington area, some within blocks of each other. the latest case confirmed by police happened around 8:00 p.m. on the 600 block of east indiana avenue. police say a man in his 30s had a fatal heroin overdose. police say a 24-year-old man overdosed and died on north broad. two people on kensington avenue. 42-year-old man on the 3300th ls reported including a woman in her 30s who died onf amber stren in his 40s on the 2800 block of d street. police have been investigating a bad batch of that's been circulating throughout philadelphia for the past month or so. whether that is part of that batch or a different batch. we don't know. police investigating 6 heroin overdoses in the city overnight. east detectives are handling the case. a suspect gunman is in custody for the attempted murder of a man in berks county. a man was shot in his car while a woman and baby were in the back seat. daniel santiago turned himself in later. th condition. the woman and child were not hurt. the warehouse fire in oakland is up to 33 as crews continue to search the rubble. lauren lister is live in oakland with an update on the story, lauren?
