happened after 2:00 a.m. police tell "action news" four men were sitting in the car on the 5600 block of north lawrence street. two armed men tapped on the window announcing a holdup. the driver took off and the gunman opened fire. the 17-year-old boy was shot in the shoulder. the armed men took off. we'll have more on the story in a live report in the next half-hour of "action news." the cleanup continues from a strong line of storms that stampeded through the region last night. katherine scott is live in darby borough, delaware county where a large tree toppled over during the storm. >> reporter: that's right, matt, the storm caused damage and there's a tree down. there were crews here throughout the night on wright avenue. you can see leaves strewn across the road, but the branches are chopped up and piled next to each other on the street. these strong storms caused problems in darby and across the area. a rescue in new castle along the delaware river off battery park. tense moments for a couple after strong winds from the storm caused their sailboat to capsize. rescue crews brought them to shore they waited to land with the help of firefighters. in wallingford, delaware county, a tree came toppling down hitting a moving car on the 700 block of brook haven road. the driver saw the tree coming and hit the gas to speed up. the tree struck them, but the two people escaped with minor injuries over in darby 6 trees fell through power lines leaving dozens of homes on north 4th street in the dark. on wright avenue a tree tore up the sidewalk and came crashing down on a car into a house. i see the tree fall down in front of my window i heard a boom. i'm happy everybody is safe. >> reporter: in the last shots you did see that tree laying across the car there, now as you take a look you see there's been a lot of progress, the crews are out, the branches look like firewood here, however as it's getting later and lighter we are expecting to see crews back on it case in the federal corruption trial of congressman chaka fattah. prosecutors said he used federal and charity funding to repay an illegal campaign loan. the philadelphia democrat denies wrong doing. he lost his bid for another term in congress during the april primary. phillies first baseman ryan howard said a fan crossed the line when he threw a bottle at him during a game. the incidented happen after growdged -- grounding out on saturday. the phillies and philadelphia police are investigating. police are trying to identify the man in the photo. the fan took the photo after the incident. it appears to show howard looking at the guy from afar. now to presidential politics, the california primary has been a major focus or hillary clinton and bernie sanders and the big day is almost here. democratic national convention in philadelphia. florida governor rick scott has postponed a meeting with donald trump that was set to takes place today. he plans to remain in the sunshine state while florida residents prepare for tropical storm collin. some have speculated that trump is considering him as a running matt, scott said he is not interested. tropical storm collin is forming in the gulf of mexico and taking aim at florida. it's expected to hit florida with heavy rain and strong winds this afternoon. yesterday residents in tampa were busy putting sandbags around their homes to prepare
