Reporter the last snow is down the coast, significant in Atlantic County and cape may county. The bulk of it is pushing away from us. There are additional snow showers falling a part. Look at how they are disappearing off the maps. Drier air coming in and improving things. We have a Winter Weather advisory in effect since 6 00 a. M. In southeastern pennsylvania and delaware. Light snow for the most part, but actively falling in a couple of areas here, these counties will be dropped before too much longer out of the advice. Temperatures are below freezing across the region. Anything that has it at the surfaces are going to melt for a while until it gets salted and plowed. On side streets and secondary roads be careful. Reporter good morning, tam, so far so good, people are taking their time as they should, the main roads look okay. Some of the side streets as karen said to the residential streets is where youre seeing more coverage. Were seeing light snow in northeast philadelphia, were along the boulevard by tyson. Of course now that were live theres not a whole lot of cars, a bunch of them came through just a few seconds ago, when they come through you will see they are moving along just fine. The road surface is wet, but its clear. Use caution you might see slushy patches or slick spots on the side streets. Neighborhood streets youll see more coverage and less blacktop. You want to be careful as you head out the door this morning. The city has been getting ready for this, two nights ago the Streets Department crews brined the boulevard and some of the Higher Elevations of the city. They mobilized at 7 00 p. M. Last night for crews to start their salting operation. They had 70 trucks out with 50,000 tons of salt available. So plenty of salt for us for this storm. Drivers we have spoken to have not run into any major issues this morning in the area. Hour the roads so far . So far not too bad. They plowed most of the streets so far. The major streets have been plowed. Reporter how about the side streets . Side streets its a light coating not too slippery, but its early, nobody is really out. Camden county said they have a number of vehicles on standby, if it gets treacherous they will send their vehicles out, as well. Hundreds of students in a district in west senica were stuck inside their classrooms and inside school buses late into the night. The district said all the students have been dropped off.
