details. >> reporter: this is where the two women visiting from ecuador were robbed after exiting a row home late in the morning last week. and they believe that the two female suspects robbed two cab drivers earlier in the week. >> upper darby police believe they are coming and going in this vehicle a newer darker sedan probably a hyundai. a camera here captured not owes last friday. two women were robbed outside a home as they left at 10:00 in the morning. the victims are 86 and 52 years old. >> and they point a gun at the two victims the 86-year-old resists and they then hit her one of the two has a handgun hits her on the arm and drops her purse, in her purse is $700 in u.s. currency. >> the suspects took the money and a phone from another victim. they say they match the zritripf a robbery of a cab driver. one female suspect started to talk to the cab driver. >> the second female enters the passenger side of the front seat and stick a gun to his head and takes money a think $100 and a cell phone. two hours later the exact same crime happened again at glendale. the driver was robbed of $200 of two women matching the description of the suspects in the two other upper darby crimes. >> there is no doubt that these two individuals are the same ones and like i said i want to get them off the street as quickly as i can. >> reporter: police believe the two female suspects may have a get away driver they have been had any similar incidents. nobody has been hurt. police are concerned that that could change if these armed women strike again. live in upper darby, sara bloomquist, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. a teenager running away from gun fire was shot in the back and killed. now philadelphia police are looking for the gunman. this happened last night along the 2300 block of marshall street in south philadelphia. the victim's brother says that the 18-year-old was with friends outside of their family home when someone started shooting. neighbors tell "action news" there were so many shots they initially thought they were hearing fireworks. >> a lot of violence in the neighborhood. there are people crying. >> well, the teen tried to escape the gunshots by running into his own home and was still hit in the back. the boy collapsed in front of his family and died a short time later at the hospital. and police have interviewed several witnesses and looking for video that might show the criminal and the corruption trial against seth williams continued today for the sixth day. williams arrived at court this morning. bar owner michael weis was back on the stand continuing his testimony from yesterday. he says he bribed williams with lavish gifts so williams would help with his liquor license problems he in california. and now a lawsuit allegedly happening at the playboy mansion 40 years ago set for july of 2018 and expected to be retried for the montgomery county case involving andrea constand in the coming months. another nice day are arrested following an extensive undercover drug investigation in chester county. district attorney tom hogan announced the results of operation wild fire. the eight week long investigation targeted street level heroin and opioid dealers, netting 46 arrests. they launched operation wild fire hoping to cut down on the number of drug related deaths. there 150 fatal overdoses in chester county this year compared to 90 last year. and he blames the spike including the generation growing up with prescriptions for anything. >> you take a 17-year-old and give them 30 days of oxycontin because they had their wisdom teeth out. pretty good chance you have created an addict that will end up on heroin. >> one suspect is harry baker sr. his son was arrested for punching a man with cerebral palsy at a convenience store last month. and a way to cut down on violence in new jersey. encouraging people to get guns off the streets and churches are playing a big role in the push. nora and we don't know the extent of their injuries. they are searching for two other people that may have been in the home. the massive cyber attack that caused disruption across europe is having an impact here at hoke. knowledge based merck says their computer network was compromised by the attack. they have several locations in ukraine thought to be the source of the data scrambling malware, officials are investigating but have not offered any further detail. time now for the "action news" traffic report. matt pellman is standing by in the traffic center. >> on our good buddy ben, is he not cooperating already this afternoon. a crash on the downside, the camden side, giving us this parking lot spilling back to center city a couple of lanes blocked on the downside of the bridge, check it out even the money crews trying to get to the accident to tend to the victims, the police officers there can't get through, this is just an absolute parking lot a sea of stopped traffic, we have chopper 6 hd now live over the ben franklin bridge, they are getting ready to toe away one of vehicles involved. that looks like a police vehicle on the back of the flat bed and all eastbound lanes are blocked on the ben franklin bridge heading into camden and no traffic is getting by as they prepare to remove the vehicles involved in the accident. a couple of tow trucks and another one over there. we have at least three vehicles involved in this crash. no eastbound traffic getting through. the patco train is getting through fine but the eastbound cars are stuck on the ben franklin bridge, let go back to the maps, the sea of traffic the jam is back across the eastbound side of the vine and on the schuylkill expressway this is not a good way to start our tuesday afternoon ride. a crash in ardmore on 30 when you turn to go on suburban square but lets check this scene along the roosevelt boulevard extension from the schuylkill to wissahickon, the broken down vehicle has cleared facebook page, a large tree limb coming down on a car here at 23rd and race street. the storms passed through early this morning at 2:00, 3:00 in the morning. but as we look at the radar it's fairly quiet in the area here. take a look closer here one downpour or thunderstorm north of allentown near dansville as well as slatington. as you head towards that northern part of the lehigh valley as you go towards the poconos but again not looking at lightning strikes but could be the pop-ups at times as we go through the evening hours. for most of us it stays on the quiet side and cool side as well. looking at the temperatures, 72 in allentown un76 in trenton and 79 in wilmington and 80s in philadelphia and millville and the atlantic city airport. as we go through the evening hours, 7:00, temperatures 77 and a beautiful evening on tap and temperatures falling into the 60s and by 11:0068 degrees. as we take a look at satellite 6 along with action radar most of those storms are heading off to the north, this is where we have most of the unsettled weather, heading into southern and northern parts of new england. as with we go through the evening hours a beautiful night for the sunset with a few clouds around. sunset is the latest of the year at 8:34. not to depression you but july 27th it drops to 8:19 and august 27th, it sets close to 7:30 in the evening. i hear moaning here get out and enjoy the next month or so of those long evenings the temperatures tomorrow pretty nice. temperature goes back to 80 degrees with just a few high clouds around tomorrow and some areas stopping in the 70s like southern parts of new jersey with a sea breeze at the shore but as you head towards lancaster and reading 80 and 82 degrees. there are changes in the four day at 4:00, the pick of the week tomorrow 81 and breezy and warmer and low humidity on thursday and then hot again and humid as well with pop-ups on friday. 92 degrees but the pop-ups are pretty scattered and saturday very humid coast guard 70 years ago when he was in his 20s. today he was presented with medals he earned during his teem in the service. among others he was presented with the combat action ribbon and honorable discharge and service pins and the world war ii victory medal. the paperwork was held up for years and after all of these years and a big push to retrieve them. today new jersey state representative, tom mcarthur paid a visit at enhanced living in morristown for the reunion. >> wonderful. i never thought i would get anything like that. wonderful. thank you. >> he at last received his medals, he was waiting approximately 70 years for them. and it's the kindness of friends that have made this come true for my father at long last. >> and his daughter george ann credits all the people for gas in bucks county. a result of this levitt town shell station and now they are helping the customers pay for the costly damage. walter perez spoke to a vehicle owner and joins us now with an update. >> reporter: hi brian. i want to say one thing. the tainted gasoline has been removed and replaced with regular gasoline and perfectly safe to come and buy gasoline at this time. we have confirmed last week for a period of time some of the gasoline was tainted and sold to some customers creating real problems for the customers. >> it was last week when dave shilling of levitt town says his family suv started sputtering after his wife filled the gas tank at this shell station. >> the guy said your ingesters are all filled up. >> they tested the gas being sold from the station and it turns out shilling's friend was right. >> it was 5% contaminated with diesel and apparently that could do a lot of damage for your car. a lot of residents that complained to us their car is either broken down completely or not running properly. >> shilling nearly fell over when he found out how much it could cost to fix the vehicle. >> i went to gmc and a local mechanic. one guy $12,900 and gmc $15,000. >> and shell has indicated they will cover costs of repair damaged by the tainted gasoline. say that shell takes product quality seriously. customers that purchased the fuel and believe they are experiencing vehicle issues related to their purchase are encouraged to contact shell. >> and so at this point the question that lingers is, how did the contamination occur. that part of the perez, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. new jersey state police are crediting an alert driver for helping them catch a wanted fugitive. police stopped him last saturday after a motorist called and said the 52-year-old was driving erratically on the garden state parkway without his headlights. after running his information they realized he was wanted in norristown for forging checks and now waiting extradition to pennsylvania. a delaware man is recould having after being shot multiple times during a home invasion robbery in camby park. police are looking for two suspects that forced this way into the victim's apartment at the mill creek village complex at 11:00 last night. his attackers were ale to get inside as his roommate were leaving the apartment. the two men stole cash as they fled the scene. a philadelphia police officer was hurt trying to arrest a woman on a vandalism spree last night. police were called to tulip street for a report of a person smashing house and car windows, investigators say when the officer tried to secure the individual a scuffle broke out and the police officer's hand was hurt and police tasered the woman and took her into custody. the years long battle over sports betting in new jersey will be settled by the supreme court. governor christie and others tried to legalize it. to capture some money bet on the games. today the supreme court justices agreed to review the case during the upcoming fall term. gas workers an first responders in new jersey went through a training exercise today. the goal is to be ready for when an emergency protect the delaware river and the drinking water supplied for 15 million people. today at the fairmount water works, trees from pennsylvania, delaware and new jersey celebrated their new alliance. they are celebrating programs helping residents keep the water clean. each has a summer ambassador now to help spread the word. summer is often the season we see a lot of construction happening around the region but right now nearly two dozen sites are not operating at full capacity because of a workers dispute. anchor, monica malpass covering this and live in the newsroom with more. >> it all has to do with a contract that extired back in the beginning of may and that is the issue here and now there are several problems that workers have that cause them to walk off the job today. new at 5:00 the trip of a lifetime. a dozen students staff and chaperones were toasted today as they prepared to board a bus to north and eventually a flight to ghana. the group from camden is tirelessly working to raise the money needed for the trip, and eight months of intensive classes to prepare them socially and psychologically. each students is of west african heritage and will be there in ghana. >> an ohio deputy forgot to do one thing that is crucial for a traffic stop. the deputy's cruiser began rolling away after he failed to put the car in park, once he noticed the run away car he chased schuylkill expressway where it meets up with the vine and eastbound on the schuylkill is locked up from montgomery drive to this point. the domino effect from the ben to the vine to the schuylkill.
