Well have more details as they are released. A man remains in custody for allegedly shooting at a womans car last night in bucks county. Police say 32yearold Brandon Grosso reached out the window of his car and fired a shot into the other vehicle in the richland crossings shopping center. Richard rojas appeared in court on friday just about 24 hours after police say he deliberately pulled a uturn in times square and started plowing down pedestrians. He waited for those cars to pass. Investigators say rojas left his house at 10 30 and drove straight to times square. We got a car running people over. Reporter 18yearold alyssa elman and her sister. Alyssa did not survive her sister in the hospital with a collapsed lung. The screaming and hearing the the engine revving and it was just all so quick because before the screams, the revving and then the impact. Reporter witnesses describing him as crazed. He told police he smoked marijuana laced with pcp. Extra concrete barricades are now in place on several blocks where police say rojas kept accelerating until he crashed. He actually goes underneath the scaffold, parts of his car, the side view mirror, license plate are falling off as hes striking these pedestrians. People are being dragged. Theyre on top of the car. Reporter seven victims are still in the hospital. The next step now for police, theyre going to search the home of Richard Rojas try to find any information as to why he might have done this. Were getting a look at the cage that police say they found a toddler locked in home alone in north Manheim Township schuylkill county. He was one of three children left unattended their mother in the hospital, their father on watch is now behind bars. But the family is defending this contraption saying it is not a cage. We did not have the intentions of locking our children inside of a cage. Reporter but thats exactly what officials call it yesterday when they found tiffany georges three Children Home a on. There was a two month old child who was locked in a homemade cage. It was kind of fashioned out of plywood and wooden lattice, had a door on it with a barrel bolt so you could lock the door from the outside. But still george insists this is not a cage. Its a play pen. Its a crib. Its not a cage. Reporter meant to keep their toddler from climbing out. The whole purpose of it so that he couldnt get out and hurt himself. Students at Martin Luther King High School in the citys germantown section got out of school early today. All because of a smoke bomb. The device was set off in the auditorium sometime this morning forcing officials to dismiss school around noon. The smoke bomb dismissal was unrelated to a small construction fire that happened on the roof earlier in the day. No one was hurt. Police in New Castle County investigating a two car accident that left one person dead t the crash happened along the 2700 block of frazier road in newark around 11 30 last night. Investigators say a saturn driven by a 24yearold man and a hyundai driven by an 18yearold girl collided. A 69yearold woman in the saturn was killed. The four teens in the other car and the driver of that saturn were hurt but all are expected to be okay. Meantime the crash is still under investigation. An employee at a day care and preschool in radnor township arrested for a bomb threat that happened back in february. Police say alexis steed works at the new gulf childrens center. The building was evacuated on february 15. Radnor k through nine radnor k9 patrol did a search but found nothing. Months later police say their investigation led them to steed. Theres also a warrant for a second female employee who detectives say was also involved. A multimillion dollar project at the jersey shore is finished ahead of schedule. Avalon just completed one of its largest beach replenishment projects ever. Crews placed nearly 1 million cubic yards of sand in the towns north end. They got the work done early before memorial day and hurricane season. Avalon used federal, state and local funding to pay for the 7. 7 million project. All right. He was struggling and i saw his face in the water and i could see that he was just gasping for air. The officer Aaron Boehmer is talking about the moment he spotted a toddler face down in a pond. Boehmer had been responding to a robbery call but noticed a child walking alone in a park. Well, following his instincts boehmer got out of his Police Cruiser and raced to the water. By the time he got there threeyearold elijah was nearly drowning. Without hesitation the officer jumped in and pulled the boys head above water. I got a kid that fell into the pond. He would have drowned. I mean, i would have said, you know, 30 seconds to a minute but if i wasnt there he would have drowned. Well, elijah is thankfully okay. His parents say he snuck out of their home after he figured out how to unlock the back door. Big talkers now and we start with a couple in florida. They say they were humiliated and publically shamed on social media for something very personal. The couple says theyve been struggling to start a family and have turned to artificial insemination. The 26yearold woman who doesnt want to be identified says she miss handled a thermos containing dry ice and sperm creating the potential for an explosion in her freezer. She called the Sheriffs Office. They responded and then shared the story on facebook using this stock photo of a horrified woman to accompany the post. Hurt, disgusted, shocked. The Sheriffs Office says they attempt to show every day what their officers see and they have yet to release and social media policies and guidelines. An apparent road rage incident ended with a shooting in a bucks county parking lot. Those shots last night pierced a car with a woman and her son inside. And now were learning new details about what led up to the confrontation from people nearly hit by the gunfire, too. Friday night the big story on action news is that shooting that landed one man behind bars. Action News Reporter gray hall is live in quakertown tonight where he spoke to the victims earlier today. Gray. Reporter rick and monica, it was a violent scene that played out in this parking lot behind me. The victims tell me they are still traumatized by all of this but they are relieved that police made an arrest. I called 911 right away. Turned around and i was like oh, he shot you. Dialed 911 and i said ive just been shot. Reporter they both could have been killed. Police say this man Brandon Grosso had a shotgun and fired shots at the familys car. Police did tell me that 1 inch lower or me moving a little bit differently in the angle of my car that i wouldnt be here. Reporter police say grosso was first involved in an incident at the yum yum bake shop along broad street in quakertown. Investigators would not go into detail but the lavin family said grosso was spotted in the area with a gun and people called 911. They encounter
