weather as we go through the next several days. we'll get much needed rain with this without really severe weather, just to the west flood watches in baltimore and central parts of pennsylvania and carolina severe thunderstorm watches and warnings in effect. hopefully we don't have a severe aspect but with what to expect for the rest of the work week? damp and dreary for the next couple of days. there could be some localized flooding in lancaster county. they are close to the flood watch but for the greater philadelphia area we should escape with just flood warnings, but windy as well. up to spilling back on to the city bridge and lincoln drive is a mess and the roosevelt boulevard would be a better bet. issues on route 1, a disabled vehicle on old lincoln highway takes out a lane and next half hour. >> thank you. the united states is preparing to send more american troops to iraq to help take the city of mosul back from isis, the 600 additional troops will help to train and advise iraqi forces for their mission. the operation is set to begin in the next few months. mosul iraq's second largest city is isis's last major strong hold in iraq, they say that iraqi leaders agree with the decision to send more forces into their country. the community college of philadelphia welcomed the education secretary this afternoon. pedro rivera spoke at the spring garden campus, talking about higher education across the state and rivera himself is a philadelphia native. and it looked like a typical pep rally but these students are not celebrating a team but a new program. they are partnering with their school district to make this happen. there will be a new reading program for fifth graders and college prep academy and scholarships to attend westchester's summer academic program. cell phones and apps and today technology meant to connect us can sometimes leave us feeling a little lonely. a local artist is looking to change that one seat as a time. the old fashioned way, making people sit eye to eye hand in hand on a bench. >> there are so many issues, political and social issues pulling people apart and pitting them against one another. it's like, what can we do expect them to kind of pivot through the area on and off through thursday, friday and into the beginning of the weekend, as we look at stormtracker 6 live double scan at this point it's light drizzle and light showers across the western suburbs of philadelphia and dry southern new jersey and delaware, even though earlier today there is heavy rain through the state of delaware. showers from the blue route to the north and media and lima and broomall and exton to downingtown and west on route 30 dealing with showers there and wet roadways as you go north of allentown and the lehigh tunnel. there is more moderate rain at times here, coply deeping with the showers as they drift to the north and no thunderstorms at the present time. temperature-wise, pretty uniform with the clouds in play and the wins out of the east-northeast. everyone in the upper 60s to around 70 degrees and the temperatures will not move all that much the next few days. winds increasing at the shore, no friction over the water once it hits the land and slows the speed down a bit. 17 wildwood and 18 in dover and as low as 6 to 8 miles per hour up in the lehigh valley. and the winds are going to crank up especially during the day tomorrow. we have moisture coming up the eastern seaboard. pulling in off the atlantic we have spinning now in chicago and that settles to the south and east. these will merge and bring the wet weather as the system stalls just to the west. at 10:00 tonight, it's not a washout the entire time the next few days, we'll see waves and rounds of waves passing through. and from the south into tomorrow evening and heavy at times and a rumble of thunder here and there in southern zones and 7:00 friday morning dealing with the pockets of downpours drifting through and friday afternoon at 2:30 still patchy drizzle and showers around. as we take a look at the computer models here for the next three days, this is philadelphia proper itself. the model predictions pretty much right on par, an inch to inch and a quarter. some areas west of the city, could get 2 do 3 inches of rain. as we look at the four day at 4:00 forecast, 69 tomorrow and 68 on friday. back to back days that mimic one another and periods of rain and winds gusting 35 miles per hour inland near 50 at the shore. and lingering showers on thursday and less in the way of rain of 73. and some sun popping back out on sunday afternoon. and we dry a little over the second half of the weekend talking about a bit of a brighter accuweather forecast. going into the next week. >> all right we like latest. >> reporter: sharrie, an investigation is underway right now, as police try to figure out what caused this accident, the victim one of nine children from a big family, lived with his parents, and taking out the trash when he was killed. and for a time nobody knew he was hit until he was found underneath the debris. >> danny was a kind person and compassionate loving son and a care giver to my parents. >> she is remembering dan quinlin, he was killed tuesday night in hamilton township when an suv traveling on the 100 block of ed -- lost control. >> i drive up in the truck and shut it off and the guy asks for his cell phone and grab that -- >> neighbor michael says that the driver of the suv appeared dazed. >> he was saying something about a baseball game and after the baseball game he was driving home and he said he just blacked out. >> quinlin lived with his elderly parents patricia and james who were inside when the crash occurred and thought dan left the house. it wasn't until they started looking for him he was found in the rubble. >> they believe he was killed instantly. >> he went airborne over the hedges, didn't even see it coming. >> they want better signage to warn people about the curve. >> if are you not going fast or paying attention to the road, how could you fly over a bush, and kill somebody. >> that is what police are trying to figure out right now. they tested the driver for blood alcohol and do not believe he was impaired and treated at a local hospital and released. and police are asking if someone had seen the accident to police contact them. >> all right nora, thank you. newly released video, showed the suspected gunman with four people outside of port richmond. they arrived outside of the caster club in a blue jeep cherokee and a fight broke out in the parking lot when the shots were fired. and the man was shot leaving him critically injured. three men were also shot if you rise the men or know anything about the crime police would point up at 63. and the easterly wind sustained at 18 miles per hour. and not only is the rain the star of the show. the winds are going to crank up here during the day tomorrow. 10:00 in the morning, gusting to 30 in philadelphia and 38 in millville and wildwood, the winds peak here in the afternoon and speeds of a good 45 miles per hour. in southern new jersey and delaware, gusts of 36 in philadelphia and 20s in the lehigh valley, and the wins remain on the gusty side as we get into the day on friday. moisture along the eastern seaboard. low pressure across the great lakes. it links with the moisture off the coastline here and even more is wrapping around this low and the low is getting cut off from the jet stream and that means it won't be able to move. we deal with this kind of german town or wissahickon avenues are better bets. the super highway is gone and speeds not super. and mercer county route 1 in the teens, despite the cra at quaker bridge road is mostly pushed out jamaica and cuba that is early next week as a category 2 hurricane. and there is no agreement where that goes beyond jamaica, that the point we'll watch it drift for the next several days. the
