Now, Officials Say the flames are being fueled by dry conditions from the fouryear drought there in california. The good news is they worked to contain this. Today theres cooler weather and very little wind. So, a bright spot but certainly some hard times there in Northern California. Brian and sharrie. All right, alicia, thank you very much. Meanwhile back here at home you really cant ask for a better day than this. Yeah, a little cooler than what were used to but cloudless sky out there today. Totally blue. Lets go outside to meteorologist adam joseph who is enjoying the perfect day it seems to be. I would take this day all year round. It is absolutely perfect out here. As you mentioned a baby blue sky hardly any cloud cover and temperatures where they should be this time of year but we started chilly this morning. 56 degrees in philadelphia. It was the cool of the start since june 5th so we havent had a temperature this low in the city since last spring. As we look at the numbers, 74 in allentown, 75 in reading, 77 in philadelphia. Our normal is 79 degrees for this time of year. 74 in cape may and you see those westerly winds going to work. We could see that low continues to spin in Northern New England. It brought a few showers to the shore communities yesterday but High Pressure coming in behind it and that high squashing any cloud cover or any chance of precipitation across much of the lower eastern half of the country. As we look at the evening planner as youre stepping out this evening, bright sunshine at 7 oclock at 70 degrees and well quickly drop into the upper and eventually mid 60s between 9 oclock and 10 oclock with that clear sky. Sharrie and brian, when i come back, well talk about al beautiful stretch this week and temperatures, theyre going back above normal. Well show you those numbers coming up in just a little bit. All right, but a beautiful stretch on deck. Yes. Adam thank you. Now to a first look at the action news traffic report. Matt pelman standing by in the action News Traffic Center on a monday afternoon. Hey, matt. Yes, so maybe we cant ask for Better Weather but we can definitely ask for better traffic. Its been a mess so far this afternoon, brian and sharrie, due in large part to an accident that happened right here on the schuylkill expressway eastbound approaching gladwyne involved an overturned vehicle and you look at this shot now and you say, well, where is it . This doesnt look like a problem. It just cleared a couple minutes ago but can you see the tracks, a little bit of fluid on the eastbound lanes and you may also notice that the travel time is still 50 minutes to get east on the schuylkill from 202 on into that point. Its still a solid line with single digit speeds like just seven and 8 miles per hour. Still probably a stretch you want to avoid. Think alternates like the pennsylvania turnpike, think about using south gulph road, think about using ridge pike maybe even 23, the schuylkill at this point is still a mess with very slow travel times in both directions. And not to be outdone, 95 southbound has an issue as well. A disabled trash truck here in the southbound lanes between girard and the vine street expressway so southbound jammed solid coming down from the betsy ross bridge. A truck overturned in Bristol Township bucks county at the Delaware Valley interchange of the pennsylvania turnpike. Its blocking the ramp from route 13 northbound to the turnpike. Well keep you posted on that as the after progresses. Lets grab the ipad do the commuter report on this back to work monday afternoon and a lot of our friends talking about the stand still on the schuylkill eastbound.
