A fire in south jersey led to at least one firefighter getting injured and the collapse of a house. Action News Reporter Jeanette Reyes joins us live in pennsauken where crews remain on the scene right now. Jeanette. Reporter well, matt, this was just a massive fire, a three apartment, threeunit home. You can see it from the betsy ross bridge, the flames shooting up into the sky. Take a live look behind me. Things are much better now. Firefighters are dealing with hot spots that are scattered around the home. You had embers flaring up around the home. This broke out about 2 30 in the morning, the 7700 block of zimmerman avenue of the the heavy fire started on the first floor. It was quite a bit for firefighters to have to deal with in the first hour or so. The fire quickly spread up into the third floor. Three fires initially we were told were injured, one firefighter was trapped on the top floor. He was eventually rescued and then ultimately we were told one firefighter suffered a broken ankle. He was evaluated on scene by ems and then again firefighters just to just had to deal with some of the hot spots. We did speak to the woman who lived in this home since she was a young, young girl. New this morning a man was shot at point blank range in the citys olney section. It happened around 3 oclock this morning on the 5900 block of north seventh street. Police say the victim a 27yearold man was shot once in the shoulder and once in the back while hall walking he was walking up to his home. The victim fled on foot south on seventh street with the shooter chasing him and continuing to fire shots at the victim. Reporter two parked cars were also shot. The incident was captured on surveillance cameras which police are viewing in hopes of tracking down the suspect. The victim was taken to einstein hospital where hes listed in stable conditioning. A Philadelphia Police cruiser struck a woman in the citys kensington section putting her in the hospital. Viewer video obtained by action news shows 24th district officers carrying the victim who appeared unconscious onto the back of their police cruiser. The incident happened at a small park at kensington avenue and f street yesterday afternoon. Police say they were conducting an investigation when an officer put a cruiser in reverse and hit the wok what you meaning behind the vehicle r some witnesses say police were pursuing a man on foot when it happened. They backed up. She was walk and the cops was chasing after somebody and they was going too fast and they hit the lady. Officials deny that many account of what happened.
