Developing this morning, flames ripped through a home in the citys hunting park section. This broke out at broad and west pike streets at 1 30 a. M. The it caused a partial collapse of the second floor of this vacant home. Another vacant home was also damaged. Anthony williams who lives a few doors down says he was asleep when police and firefighters began banging on his door. I had to leave out with nothing on. And, you know, some of the people out here gave me some things to put on. You know, basically everybody was looking out for everybody. Williams and his grandfather were able to escape safely. New information on Home Invasion in the citys lawncrest section. Police say the victim is legally blind. He was in the home last night with his wife when the robbers came barging in. Reporter matt, thats right, a couple in their 40s was inside the home when the suspects struck. The husband according to police has several medical issues and is legally blind. Luckily their children were across the street at the time. This happened around 7 45 last night here on the 1300 block of hellerman street in lawncrest. The victims told investigators that the suspects were strangers and they dont know why they were targeted. Police say two men entered the house through a one locked front door. One suspect was armed with a handgun. The wife had been sitting on the couch in the living room and ran to her husband who was at the dining room tomorrow with his own handgun next to him. The suspects took the gun which they recently purchased and they also took 275 cash. Put a happened gun to the neck of the husband and told him not to move or he would get shot and killed. Reporter and police say the suspects fled east from the 1300 block of hellerman street. Police do have Surveillance Footage to work with, there were Home Security cameras and this whole thing was caught on tape. They are looking at that footage. No one was injured. A vicious attack outside the Glassboro Public Library in Gloucester County has the community and the police on high alert. The police say a 31yearold man was in the parking lot monday evening when two men walked up and punched him knocking him to the ground. A witness told police the men continued to punch and kick the victim and then ran off. The victim suffered cuts and bruises and swelling to his head. Police say they are reviewing the library surveillance cameras to try to get some answers. The camden raiders Youth Football Team is forced to president ial candidate at the time of this accident on the sidelines because someone destroyed their grounds. The vandals used some type of vehicle to cut wide loops leaving circles of turned up grass and mud everywhere. Camden county police are still searching for the culprits. The spotted lantern fly which attacks plants has made its way to allentown. The Quarantine Zone includes allentown as well as whitehall South Whitehall upper saucon and lower milford townships in lehigh county. It hits bermuda on thursday and then moves out to sea so not impacting us but as you look at the last 12 hours you can see look at that clearly defined eye as it increases to hurricane category as it did yesterday. Now 90 miles an hour sustained winds so it hasnt increased overnight but we do expect it to become a category two hurricane. Were going to get an update shortly from the National Hurricane center and then well watch it hit bermuda and that should happen in the wee hours of the morning on thursday and then move out to sea. Police say the man walked into the Office Yesterday exposed himself and then chased the dentist around the office. The two men ended up outside where the dentist pointed a gun at the man. The man then charged at the dentist and the dentist shot him. The man was shot in the stomach and under went surgery at a hospital. Theres no word however on his condition. Also new a Washington State man chased down the thief who stole his truck and then broadcasted the chase live on facebook. The vehicle was stolen from aaron babcocks family dealership saturday morning. A few hours later babcock spotted the truck while riding his motorcycle. Babcock says no one could hear him on the phone so he he began broadcasting the chase. Friends began tuning in and someone called his father. Its like watching cops on tv but it was my son that was taking the video so, yeah, it was it was unbelievable. Then the feed quit which was a heartache for me. The chase lasted for about 30 miles until the driver stopped and surrendered. Police arrived and arrested the thief. A california womans new house wasnt just burglarized, the entire dwelling was stolen. Melinda crick ton says she woke up yesterday morning and the tiny house she is constructing was gone. The thieves didnt take it far from her sacramento apartment. Police found it a few hours later in a Shopping Center parking lot. Over in south jersey its just construction that were watching and luckily the ramp from 42 northbound to 295 northbound has reopened. The one from 295 northbound to the black horse pike is still closed for about another ten minutes. We have that new traffic pattern in that area on 2957 northbound as you 295 northbound as you come away from 42.
