Were dry and clear there on the vine as well as i95 at the vine. Construction here is cleared that was happening overnight. Breaking this morning gunfire rang out in a groceries store parking lot in germantown killing a 25yearold man. Action News Reporter annie mmccormick is live on the 200 block of chest chelten avenue with details. Reporter police say that the 25yearold homicide victim did suffer a gunshot wound to his chest. He also had several graze wounds around his head. Take a look behind me. This is a pretty big crime scene. It spans over this entire Shopping Center and even across the street according to police. Police believe a shootout took place here possibly between several people. Now, heres some video from earlier this morning. The crime scene unit and homicide detectives just arrived on the scene about a half hour ago. Investigators found a cluster of shell casings lined a car in the park ping lot near where the body was discovered. Then across the street they found more shell casings by that kfc only about 50 feet away. They believe that the shell casings found by the can kfc are from a different weapon a larger weapon. Police say they found the victim after calls came out around 2 30 a. M. The 25yearold was unresponsive. They transported him to einstein hospital where he was pronounced dead. Now, Police Believe one of the guns used may be in a parked car in this lot. They are now waiting for a search warrant. We did find two individuals who were still on scene and they were identified by witnesses as being part of the altercation. One of them possibly being the shooter. So, those two individuals were transported in separate vehicles to homicide. Reporter and back out here live again you can see flashlights down there in the parking lot.
