A nasty crash in the Spring Garden section of philadelphia. Police say two cars collided at the intersection of 13th and vine. That sent one of the vehicles into the side of a building. Some brick off that building came down after the crash. Both drivers were not seriously hurt. Theres still no word on what caused that collision or if there will be charges. And dash cam video caught the very moment that a natural gas leak blew a house to bits. A explosion halted gas service to 300 houses. 15 people were hurt and action News Reporter Kenneth Moton has the very latest. Reporter it was unimaginable until we saw the video. A gas explosion leveled a stafford township guest house rattling this community to the core. Gigantic explosion. Felt like the whole house felt like the house moved. I come outside and i see the plume of smoke. Reporter new Jersey Natural Gas crews were at work on oak avenue trying to repair the ruptured line that knocked out gas and precious heat to 300 houses. Greg johnson who was at home at the time of the explosion built a fire and pulled out the space heaters to keep his family warm. Once the gas company was turning everything off, it was going to be a long night. Reporter around 11 00 a. M. Natural gas workers and First Responders were on scene after the report of a gas leak. They were evacuating homes when an officers dash cam caught the explosion. He was returning to his car at about the time the explosion happened. Instantly once the explosion happened, he entered his car pushed the record button knowing that the recorder would capture 30 seconds prior. Reporter 15 people were injured including firefighters emts and natural gas employees. Two of those workers are still critical. The guest house belonged to a well known familily, the reynolds.
