An assault suspect was injured after the victim pulled out a gun and shot him, it happened last night outside of a chinese takeout restaurant in the olney neighborhood. Reporter police say that its up to the District Attorneys Office but they dont believe that the victim will be charged because they think he defended himself. The suspect is in the hospital in Critical Condition and they expect charges against him for attempted robbery. The shots rang out at 10 30 at this olney block at 5th and west rockland. A customer is punched in the face by a would be robber. He is running and screaming for help actually trying to avoid confrontation. But the 18yearold suspect chases him across the street and the victim fights back. He is armed and has a valid commit to carry and at some point in time he pulls out the firearm and fires shots and strikes the male. Piece say that the victim that fought back waited for police to arrive and shared his side. They rushed the suspect to the hospital. He identified himself and shows his permit to carry, it appears its a situation of selfdefense. And two people were with the suspect at the time of the atemmed robbery and they are cooperating with police and believe they were not involved in the act and the victim suffered minor injuries from being punched in the face. Two men are recovering after being shot while they sat in a car. The action cam was on the scene here at the 5100 block at penn street in the citys frankford session at 1230 this morning. One received a graze wound to the head and one shot in the hand. They were able to drive to the hospital and were treated for their wounds. So far there are no arrests or suspects in the shooting. And police are investigating the deadly shooting of a man in his home oversunlight at the 100 block of east wilmington street. The man was rushed to christiana hospital where he died from his wounds, so far police have no suspects or motives in the shooting. Wet weather may have caused a car to crash in feltonville. It happened at 12 30 in the morning on the southbound lanes of roosevelt boulevard and witnesses say that the driver lost control and hit a septa power pole and brought the wires down.
