the reason why, check out the current wind gust, gusting as high as 31 miles per hour in reading and 29 miles per hour in philadelphia and a gust in the poconos of 29 and same for millville and atlantic city. and the gust in beach haven 24 miles per hours. that makes a difference on your skin. it feels like 13 in the position and feels like 27 in philadelphia and millville 27 degrees and feeling like 24 for both reading and lancaster at this hour. here is stormtracker 6 live double scan radar you can see we have the lake-effect snow showers setting up down wind of the lakes and they stay well away from our region through the rest of the afternoon and stays brisk and chilly for the heart of the delaware and lehigh valley. if you look at the windchills today. certainly leveled out earlier today we had windchills in the teens this morning and later on this afternoon we expect windchills to be in the high 20s and is it a more of the same, temperature in the morning of just 22 at least the feels like number and feeling like 30 degrees in saturday afternoon. what to expect as we look at the weather headlines, gentleman layers are needed later today and temperatures own in the upper 30s and then we track a bit of a mixed bag of precipitation into late sun and into monday and this could impact the commute monday morning for some locations. we'll take a closer look at that in of the coverage we turn to abc's elizabeth herr. >> reporter: from ohio to new york the conditions were treacherous, they went from clear to snowy and icy in an instant and some places turning deadly. for first responders after the blinding snow caught drivers off guard and the forms fueled by the great lakes. and so powerful is created this waterspout over lake series. and snow hitting out west in here a sneaky thief made off with $3,000 from inside of an ac my supermarket in philadelphia. police released this video from december 4th, it shows the suspect crouching behind the customer service counter and taking the cash from the drawer and got away in a vehicle with a light colored fender, if you know anything about this theft you are asked to call authorities right away. and authorities are looking for two alleged shoplift evers that turned violent outside of a rite-aid. a loss prevention officer tried to stop the suspects back on december 1st and a fight broke out with one of the men and the officer. police say that the other alleged suspect came back and pulled a knife on the officer and he was not hurt. if you recognize either man you are asked to call police. frankie williams was killed earliers in the week when another driver ran into him head-on. people came last night in a candle light vigil to honor trooper williams. from 8:00 a.m. from noon monday at boardwalk hall in atlantic city. split into two parts with the first two hours set aside for friends and family only and the second two hours for law enforcement. the funeral follows at noon. three wilmington fire stations are renamed after the firefighters that recently died in the line of duty. wilmington city councilman wilson made the resolution last night and approved the resolution last night. hope succumbed to her injured last week and the two firefighters died on the day of the fire and they approved a resolution to ask the state for $300,000 to keep firehouse six open when staffing is short. a brand new grocery store is hope today. jim kenney joined the ribbon cutting at the fresh gross ser. they are also selling wine and beer, this is their sixth store to open in the city. the american legion playground in wissinoming is back and better than ever. city officials and students from tacony academy charter school bundled up to celebrate the grand opening today. the home tuesday night to find racist graffiti and a swastika and broken glass and trump was written on the wall in magic marker. he wants those that did this to know that violenceness racism has no place
