coach doug pederson who saluted the fans. >> i can't even put it into words it's so surreal its my biggest birthday wish come true. >> it's a dream. i'm waiting for somebody to pinch me and wake me up. any minute i'm waiting to hear that alarm clock go off and tell me to go to work. >> reporter: after deboarding lurie pederson and several players made their way to the fence to give fans an up close glimpse of the shining new hardware. >> ii thought i was going to pass out. ninety-first thing they did when they got off that plane was hold up that trophy. >> reporter: the police escort took the team to novacare complex. players then hopped in their vehicles and left to a throng of jubilant fans who are ready for their big party thursday, the parade down broad. >> are you ready for this parade. >> oh, yes, thursday can't come fast enough. >> reporter: school today. >> unfortunately, yeah. and he's missing thursday too. >> reporter: yes, this is certainly a city overcome with joy. live outside of atlantic aviation chad pradelli channel6 "action news." jim. >> thank you, chad. one player who did not make the trip back to philadelphia with the team, quarterback nick foles. he had a date with mickey mouse. the m.v.p. made a detour to orlando for the traditional super bowl parade through disney world's magic kingdom this afternoon. we're already getting word from school districts that they will be closed on thursday for the parade. that includes philadelphia public and archdiocesan schools. let's switch live to the philadelphia museum of art and annie mccormick, annie, you've got some details about parade plans. >> reporter: we have some early details jim that we do want to share with you. more details will come tomorrow but you see how many people showed up at the airport in chad's story. imagine how many people are going to show up for this parade. early estimates they may be between one and 2 million people. parade preps are now in full swing. here on the art museum steps crews began assembling a stage this morning. by city hall private contractors put up generators and equipment to strengthen wifi and cell phone signals for parade goers. fans anticipated this celebration. >> we didn't want to jinx it and make anything official but now that it's going to happen, you know, i'll be here. >> reporter: all of the route details are not released yet but the city announced today the parade will begin in south philadelphia at broad and pattison and will head north presumably along broad street and then to the ben franklin parkway. the city confirms it will end at the art museum. >> i live actually a couple steps from here so i'll be in the center of it all. >> reporter: the city quietly began organizing ahead of the big win. tom gannon scouted the area today. he owns the nick's roast beef northeast location and will have a food truck here. >> make an application and i think 25 trucks are going to be here. >> reporter: bud light announced they'll provide free beer making good on a promise with eagle lane johnson if he won the super bowl. tentatively the parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. expect a celebration. >> i get off at 2:00. we're going to celebrate all wear green. i'm going to dye my locks green. >> i love philly. i've been coming here for 45 -- i been coming here about 20 years. never had a dull moment here. >> reporter: even a patriots fan wouldn't miss. >> i'm going to wear my patriots shirt. i'm going to dust it off and be like we should have won. >> reporter: and those crews that began building that stage this morning are actually still out here. we saw them bringing out some studio equipment presumably for day on the stage. also we're hearing that now police are putting up parking restrictions in certain areas along that parade route but we're going to find out all of those details about the parade tomorrow morning when the city holds a news conference. for now reporting live from the art museum steps annie mccormick channel6 "action news." jim, back to you. >> thank you, annie. green out there, eagles green and now that eagles are super bowl champions, all eyes really on the weather forecast for thursday. it will be dry with a mixture of clouds and sunshine but it will be very chilly. at 9 o'clock when a lot of people are heading out there, 28 degrees. when the parade steps off 30 degrees. by the afternoon only in the low to mid 30's but you factor in those winds out of the northwest up to about 25 miles per hour. wind chills will be in the low 20's so if you're going town to down to the parade bundle up and dress in layers and even tonight it's pretty chilly out there. taking a look at temperatures currently philadelphia 31 degrees allentown 27, cape may 31. trenton 29 but we've had wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour today. there's easing off but still there's enough of a breeze to create wind chills generally in the 20's and teens. so, the winds diminish overnight. the clouds roll in. satellite and radar showing there's asystem that's bringing some snow near chicago. most of the moisture with this misses us to the north but it will spread clouds overnight and maybe a few snow showers in the far north and west suburbs of the lehigh valley and the poconos. overnight low 24 in philadelphia. it's a cold night. allentown 15. cape may 23. wilmington and trenton 21 degrees. tomorrow we start the day with clouds. sunshine is back by the afternoon and timing is horrible with this. looks like it will be arriving right in time for the wednesday morning commute. south jersey, southern delaware mainly rain. icing along i-95. accumulating snow to the northwest before the changeover to rain happens by the end of the day, so wednesday morning we're looking at about a coating to an inch of snow and sleet. the i-95 corridor intooer eighty four -- interior south jersey. one to 3-inches of snow and threatt before the changeover to rain. across northern lehigh valley and the poconos we're looking at three to 6 inches of snow before you get that mixing on wednesday so the wednesday morning commute is going to be a problem. we've issued an accuweather alert for that. so the exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast clouds tomorrow morning sunshine by the afternoon, the high 42. wednesday morning that wintry mix could really complicate the morning commute with eventual changeover to rain 44. thursday for the parade, it's dry, partly sunny, brisk and chilly, 34. we bump it up to 38 degrees on friday as the clouds build in and it's going to be a pretty mild weekend. on saturday it's mostly cloudy, 47. sunday up to 51. the trade-off is another rainy sunday with periods of rain and then we begin to dry things out on monday with a high of 44 degrees. and i will have new details on the wednesday morning system coming up in "action news"
