corbett place. what is the story. >> investigators are piecing together exactly what happened in this case. and here is what we do know. a 31-year-old woman went missing this morning and back with her family tonight and that family is very relieved. >> i can breathe again and my whole family can breathe again. >> bill law says that is the only way he can describe finding his daughter britney after he went missing this morning. she was out celebrating her sister's 21st birthday and they ordered a ride from lyft the ride share service. there is no confirmation that a lyft driver picked them up and they climbed into the vehicle and started to take them home. and they stopped in upper darby and asked the younger sister to buy them a bottle of water to take the medication, she goes and gets a bottle of water three or four minutes and comes back out and the vehicle is gone the driver is gone and her sister is gone. >> the 21-year-old sister called 911 and a frantic search ensues. it was britney herself that called police saying that the driver dragged her out of the vehicle after stealing her cell phone and debit card and she was able to call police. lyft told "action news" we have searched the system and there doesn't seem to be a lyft ride provided in the reports and we are in touch with law enforcement and continue to assist the investigation. no matter who is at the wheel he is not sure when his heart will stop racing. >> gave me a heart attack and the rest of my family. i can't tell you what went through my head all morning. >> so whether he works for a ride share service or posing as a ride share driver investigators want to speak to this man. described as an african-american man 25 to 30 with an accent and black four door vehicle possibly a nissan. reporting live from upper darby, channel 6. >> thank you. today gloucester county prosecutors charge norman long for the beating death of his wife. michelle long was found dead in a swimming pool at their home in swedesboro on june 17th and autopsy revealed that she died of blunt force trauma and investigators say he killed his wife in the home and then put her in the pool. >> and michelle's daughter spoke of her loss this morning. >> my mom was definitely the best mom you could ask for. she did not deserve this at all. we are broken without her. just trying to keep it together. >> and long is charged with murder and concealing evidence and obstruction of justice and a $10,000 reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a man that sexually assault aid jogger in a montgomery county park. it took place just before 11:00 yesterday morning much the 19-year-old woman was running in norristown farm park and was assaulted by a man with a gun. the reward is offered by the montgomery county district attorney's office and the citizens crime commission of the delaware valley. the search continues at this hour for a person that shot up a gas station overnight. the shooting happened at the sunoco gas station at east 22nd street in chester after midnight. the customer pumping gas was injured by shattering glass while his car was riddled by bullets and taken to the chester medical center for treatment. and an incident involving a camper at a pool on temple university's ambler campus. a girl was if the pool and required medical attention. the child was flown to childrens hospital for treatment. we have no word on her condition at this point. temple says the girl was attending a camp run by an outside group. police in north philadelphia are investigating one of their own for a crash that damaged several vehicles and investigators say that an off duty officer may have been intoxicated and happened along the 1500 block of north 5th street after 6:00 this morning. the off duty officer assigned to the district hit at least four parked cars and fortunately nobody was hurt. and the officer was taken into custody for possible dui. they broke ground this morning on a new hotel in newcastle county delaware, the holiday inn e presentation will go up on this property at auto park drive in middletown. the four story building had 93 rooms and four lightning strikes and heavy rain. this extends east of philadelphia to trenton. if you drive the new jersey turnpike heavy rain and a line through speed well heading towards the coast and more rain pushes towards the coast in the evening hours, but these storms diminish once we get past sunset and the good thing about the rain it's cooled off the temperatures. take a look at the temperatures right now. philadelphia down to 71 degrees, our high today 89 and that means this week is not the sixth heat wave of the year. this is not a heat wave. wilmington 71 and dover 83 degrees and cape may 79 degrees. dew point shows you this is why we are looking at the heavy downpours today. dew points in the upper 60s to around 70 that is a tropical air mass and the air is saturated and any storms and beginning to lose their intensity and lose the haying of the day and the storms diminish and warm and humid and partly cloudy and 65 in the suburbs and tomorrow morning a nice morning mixture of clouds and sunshine and warm and muggy and as we head into the afternoon again scattered thunderstorms developing and we won't have the trigger of the short wave we had today so i don't think they
