identified the woman found dead here as tavonia love. >> i think it's sad because someone last their daughter, their sister. >> reporter: authorities called the fire suspicious leading neighbors to wonder if she may have been the victim of foul play. >> it is kind of weird to realize that a fire happened here and a somebody possibly set it. >> the row home is hold by anthony eubanks who has a medical license in pennsylvania. he put up this go fund me post soliciting money to open a medical clinic in the row home where the fire happened. action news has learned he is charged with assaulting tavonia love in november 2016 at this address in delaware county. according to the criminal complaint, eubanks broke in and tried to strangle love with a dog leash before leaving. love told the arresting officer she and eubanks had an on and off relationship. court documents list his attorney as the democratic nominee for philadelphia district attorney. neighbors didn't know all that. they do want to know how love ended up dead on their block. >> i would like to send my condolences out to all our family and friends very tragic and i hope that they find, if they don't find who did it, what happened to her. >> the delaware county court docket indicates that eubanks was set for a preliminary hearing on the aggravated assault charge involving love just like week but it got postponed until july. larry krazner's office said they would get back to us but they never did. i'm sarah bloomquist, 6 action news. >> one student was hurt, after an incident in the juniata park section. there was a social media post calling for a large group to gather this afternoon. students from three schools were involved. police called in extra officers to break up the group after two fights broke out. the injured officer hurt his rib when he was knocked down. investigators say an off duty delaware trooper used her service weapon to shoot her boyfriend last night. that man identified as 43-year-old maurice eiffel was killed. police responded at 11:15 last night. authorities say the two had a physical fight. the trooper shot the man in thetorso according to authorities. she is in the hospital in stable conditions. police in west chester have announced the arrest of a 29-year-old man and have released video of what he allegedly did back in the early morning hours of may 10th. the police chief, the defendant's actions are appalling. action news recorder vernon odom has the details. >> reporter: this is 29-year-old barry baker of coatesville. the da says this is baker with a sucker punch assault on a 22-year-old man with cerebral palsy. the surveillance video the da says is perfectly clear. he is lejdly seen mocking the victim on his way into the store and appears to mock the victim again before attacking the man who suffer frs movement limitations. >> when he comes back out the defendant does it again. he's making fun how the victim moves, how he walks. and out of no where the victim is just standing there and the defendant just turns and sucker punches him right across the face. you can see him bleeding out of his nose. >> unprovoked? >> totally unprovoked. >> reporter: baker seen here making a getaway much the da says as the assault victim gathers himself to eventually drive away and look for police. >> later on in the video you see the defendant's girlfriend coming out and yelling at him for what he did. >> reporter: baker's free on $25,000 bail tonight. he faces charges including assault and harassments. his next court date is may 30th. that is when a judge will assess the powerful evidence against him. i'm vernon odom, channel 6 action news in west chester. >> police have arrested a man from perkasie, bucks county for allegedly possessing child pornography. the fbi and several police departments raided the home of 57-year-old douglas maddox. police are still processing the evidence but say so far they have found hundreds of downloads. maddox is out on $75,000 bail. he is employed as a septa bus driver. septa says he has been reassigned pending the outcome of the investigation. a husband mat experience in newark delaware. the accident happened just before 6:00. the collision caused the truck to veer off the road and crash into an office building. the truck struck a tank loaded with chemical benzene. both drivers were hurt they were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. the bill cosby sexual assault trial will be held in norristown but the jurors are coming from pittsburgh and jury selection began there today. bob, what was the story there today? >> reporter: jim, this is a story of trying to find an impartial jury for one of the most famous people of his time. that's why it's been brought all the way out here to pittsburgh to pick it. and so far they've been able to seat five jurors. it was a long day inside the allegheny county courthouse for 79-year-old bill cosby. he was held by a team this morning when he areefd. he was also helped by his team. he didn't speak at all but his attorney said this. >> he's holding up fine. he's looking forward to it. >> reporter: today was the first day of jury selection for cosby's criminal trial early next month. those jurors will decide if he is guilty of indecent assault against former temple university employee andrea constand. cosby stated during deposition it was consensual and the drug he gave her was nothing more than benadryl. again cosby's attorney seemed rather up beat heading into today's proceedings. >> we look forward to starting this trial. >> reporter: the reason things were brought to pittsburgh, they're hoping to find an impartial jury. three white males and two white females but it's not an easy task. cosby is one of the most famous people of his time. before private questioning began 100 jurors were asked 48 questions by a judge. 34 people had already developed an opinion about the case. 67 of them said they had smisk reasons why they wouldn't be able to sit on the jury. only 14 say they've never heard about the case. just to give you an idea of how nerve wracking this can be when they go into private questioning it's the judge, the prosecution and the defense team with bill cosby. cosby is sitting almost right next to these potential jurors as they answer these questions. cosby has been very engaged. reporting live in pittsburgh, bob brooks, channel 6 action news. >> thank you, bob. residence in manchester, ocean county are being warned to be on the lookout for a black bear. the bear was spotted twice this weekend. police have been using sirens and air horns and water hoses to get the bear to retreat back into the woods. officials say the bear has not been aggressive, but they're warning folks to keep their distance if they see it. it is a done deal. the philadelphia housing authority has completed the purchase of the high school building in north philadelphia. the tha bought the building for $2 million. it will spend $15 million to make renovations. the high school will be managed by the district but operated by an outside contractor called big picture learning. the school plans to open in september. the curriculum will focus on internships and college preparation. coming up on action news tonight, we'll take you backstage ahead of night one of the "dancing with the stars" finale. alicia vitarelli is live in hollywood with the inside scoop. and a south jersey lacrosse player has had to overcome several challenges just to compete and now he's at the top of his game. >> it certainly has been a gloomy monday. the good news is today's rain is moving out. bad news, i'm tracking more rounds of wet weather this week. i'll time them out for you in the accuweather 7-day forecast. >> those stories and much more when action news continues. they have the outdoor sets getting ready for the biggest finale. in the meantime the fans are lining up to take a seat inside and of course we found some locals excited for the big night. >> the dancing, the costumes. i definitely want the costume designer to make any dress that i ever need ever. >> oh, my gosh i was just in the wardrobe room. have you to see the sequins, the beads. it's amazing. >> how does it feel to be in the audience tonight? >> it's good for the allergies, it's good for our lawns and gardens there's some good news. storm tracker 6 live double scan showing also the good news. the soaking rain we had earlier today has moved off the coast. still a lot of clouds and how much rain you got depended on your location. it was all about location today like real estate. philadelphia about half an inch of rain. lehigh valley less than .25 inch. then you move into south jersey and delaware some areas 2-3 inches, atlantic city airport 2-3 inches. that's where the steadiest and heaviest rain moved in. this week will be an unsettled week. the best chance of more rain will be on thursday, but tomorrow some parts of the region will get more showers and even wednesday, friday and saturday, there is a chance of a few showers. so one of those weeks you want to keep the umbrella close. right now temperatures on the cool side. 65 degrees in philadelphia. we hit a high of 66. that's a full 10 degrees below normal. so not only was it wet, it was cool. allentown, 61. reading 63, atlantic city airport, 64. that ocean temperature still a little bit chilly, 58 degrees. satellite and radar showing again the rain we had earlier today has moved off but the problem is there's essentially a stalled front. another wave of low pressure is beginning to develop across the carolinas. that will clip parts of our region tomorrow. so tonight, no rain but a lot of clouds. and enough moisture in the air we will have some patchy, dense fog developing so do be careful as you're driving overnight. 60 in philadelphia, allentown 54, wilmington and cape may, 60 degrees. future tracker showing tomorrow, you wake up, lots of clouds, perhaps a little bit of some peeks of sunshine early and then another round of rain. but this round will really have trouble working north and west of the i-95 corridor. mainly across south jersey and delaware, but plenty of clouds for all of us. so a somewhat gloomy day again. temperatures climbing a bit more. mostly cloudy from that light rain, again southeast. temperatures stuck in the 60s across cape may, atlantic city and millville. however philadelphia should manage to get up to 71. reading you'll see a limit bit more sunshine with a high of 72 degrees. and wednesday if we time it out perfectly we get a slice of nice. little bubble of high pressure building in, 77 degrees, partly sunny skies. there goes my earring. wardrobe malfunction. one low off the coast, another one moving in on thursday. that will bring another round of rain. so the exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast. tomorrow, drier areas northwest, rain across parts of south jersey and delaware -- [ laughter ] is that it? >> it's good for the allergies, it's good for our lawns and gardens there's some good news. storm tracker 6 live double scan showing also the good news. the soaking rain we had earlier today has moved off the coast. still a lot of clouds and how much rain you got depended on your location. it was all about location today like real estate. philadelphia about half an inch of rain. lehigh valley less than .25 inch. then you move into south jersey and delaware some areas 2-3 inches, atlantic city airport 2-3 inches. that's where the steadiest and heaviest rain moved in. this week will be an unsettled week. the best chance of more rain will be on thursday, but tomorrow some parts of the region will get more showers and even wednesday, friday and saturday, there is a chance of a few showers. so one of those weeks you want to keep the umbrella close. right now temperatures on the cool side. 65 degrees in philadelphia. we hit a high of 66. that's a full 10 degrees below normal. so not only was it wet, it was cool. allentown, 61. reading 63, atlantic city airport, 64. that ocean temperature still a little bit chilly, 58 degrees. satellite and radar showing again the rain we had earlier today has moved off but the problem is there's essentially a stalled front. another wave of low pressure is beginning to develop across the carolinas. that will clip parts of our region tomorrow. so tonight, no rain but a lot of clouds. and enough moisture in the air we will have some patchy, dense fog developing so do be careful as you're driving overnight. 60 in philadelphia, allentown 54, wilmington and cape may, 60 degrees. future tracker showing tomorrow, you wake up, lots of clouds, perhaps a little bit of some peeks of sunshine early and then another round of rain. but this round will really have trouble working north and west of the i-95 corridor. mainly across south jersey and delaware, but plenty of clouds for all of us. so a somewhat gloomy day again. temperatures climbing a bit more. mostly cloudy from that light rain, again southeast. temperatures stuck in the 60s across cape may, atlantic city and millville. however philadelphia should manage to get up to 71. reading you'll see a limit bit more sunshine with a high of 72 degrees. and wednesday if we time it out perfectly we get a slice of nice. little bubble of high pressure building in, 77 degrees, partly sunny skies. there goes my earring. wardrobe malfunction. one low off the coast, another one moving in on thursday. that will bring another round of rain. so the exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast. tomorrow, drier areas northwest, rain across parts of south jersey and delaware -- [ laughter ] is that it?
