"action news" gray hall has more now. >> reporter: police want the man seen in these surveillance pictures off the streets. they fear he may hurt someone again. the suspect is wanted in connection to an attempted rape in south philadelphia wednesday morning. along the 1300 black of wharton street. the news has rattled the nerves of those living in the area. >> makes me think, you know, be more aware, you know, like never have my headphones in, don't talk on the phone, don't be distracted as i'm walking. >> reporter: the attack happened as the 19-year-old victim was walking home alone. she told detectives she felt someone walking behind her. she grabbed her mace and that's when the man attacked. >> he rushed up lined her grabbed her tackled her to the grounden pulled her dress down, the top of her dress he pulled down exposing her. she managed to fight him off and pepper spray him at which time he fled um officers say the story could have will a much different ending if the victim did not have the will to fight back. >> slaw in the fight of her life. if you saw the still photo that's her hand at his throat. she was in the fight of her life and she fought him off. >> reporter: people living in the area are shaken by the came and say 33 don't recognize the suspect. the neighborhood is on high alert but everyone is thankful the victim got away. >> i'm proud of the fact that she stood up for herself and that she fought back. >> reporter: police are alerting the neighborhood about the suspect who is described as a 37-year-old black man about five-seven, 225 pounds. he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants with such good pictures officers are confident they will make an arrest. >> somebody out there is going to recognize this person and we need them to call. they can remain anonymous. just tells who he is. tell us who he is. we'll take from it there before he hurts somebody else. >> reporter: no doubt a frightening time for folks living in this community tonight detectives tell me they are still reviewing more surveillance video. they're asking anyone with information to call police. in south philadelphia, gray hall, channel6 "action news." >> ♪ >> we are just four days away until voters head to the polls in pennsylvania and delaware. the candidates of course are crisscrossing the region hoping to drum up last minute support. children were injured in a fast moving fire this morning here in camden. police say it was no accident. the blaze broke out at a two story row home about 4:30 a.m. here in the 800 block of haddon avenue. it quickly spread to adjacent homes. those who were injured suffered smoke inhalation. they're expected to be okay but the red cross is now helping 26 people who were displaced. a construction worker is recovering after being rescued on the job today. officials say the subcontractor fell into a sewer. it happened while he was working on the presidential city apartments. that is the $100 now across south jersey and these are really on the light side. no thunderstorms. most of the activity near sea isle city and this is all continuing to push up to the north and the east. but we do have a lot of clouds. sky6 taking a look at the center city skyline and seeing some towering cumulus clouds as the atmosphere begins to get more moist as a very slow moving storm system moves our way and that finally will bring us some rain. but it has been a warm week. monday's high 82. tuesday 78. we dropped down to 71 degrees on wednesday. yesterday 73. and today shot back up to 78 degrees. the average high for this time of the year, 66. so, well above average. even right now with 75 degrees in philadelphia, the same in trenton. allentown 74. reading 73. cape may is the cool spot with that wind off the ocean, 59 degrees. the poconos pretty mild currently 71. but satellite6 along with action radar showing we've got the clouds in place and there's a lot of unsettled weather on the way. it's a very slow moving system, though. if you look at ohio you see that spin and that's low pressure. it's what's known as a cut off low because it's cut off from the jet stream so it's just meandering very slowly but these showers across western pennsylvania gradually will move into our region as we head through the overnight hours. association the gooso the good e heading out not going to be a lot of activity. showers missing us to the south a few more across the poconos. the wee hours of the morning is when the atmosphere gets a lot more juicy. don't be surprised if you hear a rumble of thunder south of philadelphia in the wee hours of the morning around 4 o'clock and the problem with this system moving so slowly in, it's also going to move slowly out. so that means it will be unsettled for your saturday morning. plenty of clouds with some spotty showers, maybe even a downpour and then as we head through the day we will gradually be clearing out from the northwest to the southeast but even by 7:30 tomorrow evening, a lot of clouds still lingering along the coast so do not expect a bright and sunny day on the beaches tomorrow. future tracker showing what you get really depends on where you r some areas missing out completely. areas south of philadelphia where you could get some heavier downpours could get up to about three-quarters of an inch of rain. after nine days of dry weather in a row we can use any rain we get. then on sunday high pressure building in and this means we get rid of the clouds for all of us plenty of sunshine, definitely the better of the two days this weekend and there will be a little bit cooler but temperatures still running slightly above normal, 69 degrees and once that high pressure moves to the east heading into monday, we tap into those winds out of the south and that means temperatures back up into the low 80's. so, the exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast, tomorrow plenty of clouds and lingering showers. as we head through the afternoon finally some sunshine again emerging from the northwest to the southeast. should be dry for the union game, though, a high of 73 degrees. on sunday, bright sunshine and pleasant with a high of 69 degrees and monday with those winds out of the south, it gets warmer again. up to 82 degrees. fifth day this year temperatures in the 80's and then on tuesday, unsettled, mostly cloudy with some showers as a cold front slips through. still a warm day, 78 degrees. behind that system we drop back down to 70 on wednesday under partly sunny skies. thursday possibility of a shower. otherwise partly sunny, 74. and friday sun mixing with clouds with a high of 76 degrees. so, if you're planning your outdoor activity this weekend sunday the better of the two days. >> okay.
