It appears that a wildwood officer punches a man in the face was it justified that is under investigation, we have the video of of it happening. Lets take a look. It happens quick. The person recording the video zooms in and before you know it the man is on the ground. The Wildwood Police officer appears to strike him in the face and he goes down and is cuffed. Another look this time in slow motion it happened at the intersection of new jersey avenue and roberts avenue, the man and the Police Officer appear to be having a confrontation. The man is not cuffed and his hands are not free and then for a reason unknown the officer strikes the man in the face and we spoke with the Wildwood Police chief off camera, the man punched was involved in a disorderly persons client and the officer involved will not be named at this point nor will the man hit. But that officer is still on duty while the investigation is ongoing. Referee and while this is ongoing, the county Prosecutors Office is handling the investigation and that officer will remain on duty while this plays out. And kevin steele says releasing the jurors name will have a Chilling Effect on future juries. A publicity onslaught and more difficult to seat a jury for the retrial. And jurors would be reluctant to serve knowing their names may be released post trial and the medias lawyer says that could be the concern for any juror in any case. They also argue that there was a lot of publicity prior to the cosby trial and still able to seat a jury. That is why the court goes through the jury Selection Process and cosbys team opposed the releasing the name and lead to all kinds of inquisitions into the jurys thinking and not allow cosby to get a fair retrial. Four people have been detained in connection where yesterdays attack in paris. Police say that all four detained overnight are family members of at tacker.
