channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. in other news tonight the trial of eric frein the man accused of ambushing two pennsylvania state troopers underway. frein opened fire on douglas and dickson last late year. douglas was wounded and dickson died frein led police on a weeks long manhunt before being arrested in an airplane hangar. police have charged a 17-year-old with assault and reckless endangerment and theft in connection with the armed robberies in philadelphia. according to officials. ma king stewart played -- all in the same area. nobody was hurt until a confrontation last thursday on north 59 and street. that is when run of the robbery suspects was shot in the arm. police are investigating stewart's connection to other incidents in the area as well. the nfl draft is against you. millions of americans heard that threat from scammers claiming to be from the irs. >> for years the irs warned against callers demanding money saying that the irs does not do that. if you are at all behind on your taxes, the irs will have a private company call you starting this spring. it's part of a new program where debt collectors are hired by the irs to chase down long overdue taxes that the irs just can't get to. and they have no choice, a new law enacted by congress requires the irs hire debt collector to help pay for new roads but the new contracts could cause a spike in scam calls, here is how to make sure you are not being scammed when this program kicks in. the irs will can't you multiple times in writing before you are ever called by contractors and won't hear from a collector until the you have multiple years of overdue taxes and all payments are made to the irs and not the contracted company. >> if you get the call from the irs and a really aggressive things to do. we have other state schools that got different dormitories in my time of being a student and new athletic buildings and you know we still are stuck with the same old stuff and it's not milestone, a kidney transplant 50 years ago that changed the course of medicine. ted lombard gave his then 13-year-old daughter denise a kidney to save her life. denise and her twin sister diane had a genetic affect that caused kidney failure. they would not put denise on dialysis because it was too new and risky and her mother convinced them to do a living donor transplant. >> i lost one daughter. and i didn't want to lose another. >> well now transplants including those from living donors are being done every day but the lombards want everyone to consider becoming a living donor. there are responded those are absolutely false. channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. turning to the subway bomb attack in russia now, we now know a 22-yea bomber was behind the attack but no group claimed responsibility for the attack that killed 13 people. some people injured are in critical condition. a new york city engineer crossed two electrified rails to rescue a man that fell on the subway tracks. jonathan says he was headed home from work and heard a commotion on the opposite platform after realizing a person was lying nearly motionless on the tracks. he jumped into action and carried the man to safety right there. just 90 seconds later a train barrels down the tracks. officials are blaming the man's fall on a me medical problem. and david muir will have more on the subway rescue and the russian bombing attack. after "action news" at 6:00. and the drunk driver accused of causing a train reaction crash that kill aid music teacher was in court today. authorities say he was drive on south 13 and street on february 11th and allegedly sideswiped two parks acars and carolyn morgan died when her car was hit and allegedly tried to take the license plate of his car following the crash. from our delaware newsroom police in newcastle county, are investigating the discovery of a man's body floating in a reception pond on warwick road in middletown. dive teams serve sd the pond for a car but found nothing. police are working to identify the man and trying to figure out what happened. authorities in bensalem are looking for help to identify a woman found disorients and wandering. they found her this morning after a septa bus called because she asked them to take her home but didn't know where home was. they took her to the neshaminy mall. and she is being treated at the torresdale hospital. a man by a vehicle riding a bike in the port richmond section is in critical condition, the victim in his late 40s or early 50s was hit at 10:30 on aramingo avenue. he was unresponsive and rushed to the hospital and officials say that the driver did stay at the scene. a thief used a coffee cup to threaten a convenience store employee in south philadelphia. the suspect walks into the 711 in the south block of south street. he ordered a pack of cigarettes and had a coffee cup in his hand and said it was filled with gasoline and threatened to set the clerk on fire the suspect got away with about $20. they celebrated culture and diversity today at city hall. the annual barbershop event. mayor kenney celebrated dr. martin luther king jr. and his legacy and robert bridge between sea isle city and avalon. they found a crack in the pier at the toll bridge along ocean drive. the damage is 30 felt under water and the hope is that the repairs could be finished
