made an arrest after two women attacked a wawa employee with hot coffee. this happened at the wawa on 69th street in upper darby yesterday afternoon. police say the women filled a cup with hot coffee in that store and then purposely tossed it in the employee's face. it is still not clear why they did this. in delaware, police have arrested a smyrna man for trying to rob a gas station and a liquor store. according to officials 25-year-old philip harden confronted the female clerk at a valero in smyrna last night saying he wanted to rob the business. he ran to the back of the store. hardin ran off and tried to rob reba's liquors nearby. he's held on $6,000 bail. >> firefighters still trying to determine what started a fire that badly damaged a home in bucks county. this viewer video shows smoke pouring from the home as crews torque get under control. the fire started at 7:00 a.m. on red cedar lane in levittown. firefighters say two dogs died inside. no people were injured. attorneys for comedian bill cosby are trying to get his sex assault trial moved out of montgomery county. cosby is scheduled to go to court this summer for allegedly drugging and molesting a woman at his elkins park home in 2004. cosby's lawyers filed a motion today arguing that possible jurors could have been icoverag. they say they would be willing to bring in a jury from elsewhere. no word when the judge will rule on the motion. a bigther tonight the delaware valley but the winds are dying down in time for the weekend. a live look right now at penn's landing through sky6. it will be ae tend ut 2017 will sta off with p some milder tem meteorologist adam joseph in for cecily tynan tonight live at the big board with the forest. hey, adam. >> quite a turn around in temperatures as we go through the upcoming weekend. those flurries and snow showers due to the strong winds coming in of the great lakes picking up some of that moisture so lake effect snow showers at times and snow flurries and most of them at this point falling apart and that will be the trend overnight tonight. but it was pretty windy. 37 miles an hour in philadelphia, highest wind gusts in allentown 35 and as high as 40 miles an hour for atlantic city as well as the poconos where wind chills were pretty brutal through much of the day. as we head into tomorrow, which is new year's eve day when we hit the evening hours when many festivities will be going on outdoors, indoors, not too chilly. 41 deg evening and only a 1 degree drop in temperature in that six-hour period to midnight so very mild so to speak relatively speaking for the as we look r holidayember. weekend saturday's official high will be 45 tomorrow with some high clouds. it will be a bit on the breezy side. with that breeze we'll phil feel a bit cooler than 45 but temperatures above normal on sunday, 50 with wall to wall sunshine and less wind. we'll talk about a seven day that showsn and warmer temperatures in that forecast, monica, in just a little bit. >> sounds good. thank you adam.e are less than hours remaining in 2016 and with the clock ticking until we ring in the new year and officials are preparing for big celebrations over the weekend. philadelphia police expecting thousands of people to pack the shores of the delaware river for the city's fireworks celebration. there is heightened concern in the wake of recent attacks in europe. local officials won't go into detail about their security measures but they'll have them in place this weekend saying they're looking at past events to make sure this holiday is just as safe. >> we've used a number of those tactics throughout the past in a number of different events we've had here most recently the dnc as well as our july 4th celebration. we'll have the same type of tactics in place. >> meantime the action cam on south broad street today where barriers are already up for sunday's mummers parade. >> and people around our area are also stocking up for their own holiday celebrations. northbound by the vine but that's all off to the side. slower speeds are on the southbound side in delco just 11 miles per hour. the culprit there mainly earlier sun glare. have a crash by the eagleville tavern in montgomery county along eagleville road at ridge pike. not too bad on any of the highways out here like 422, just a little sluggish on the northbound northeast extension. in edgewater park, burlington county by holiday ice cream, watch out for a wreck along 130 near bridgeboro road. our crash in pennsville by the acme is gone from broadway so you're good there but slow across the delaware memorial bridge getting into delaware. that joins up with delays along 95 and 495. and now there's a crash as well in minquedale close to the fairfield inn and suites near lovelace in order to save calories for drinking alcohol. it's more common on college campuses a ica dangerous. it's estimated more than 40 percent ofollege student binge drink consuming large amounts of alcohol in a short period of time. some are coupling it with another dangerous behavior, eating less or not at all. some do it to save calories so they don't gain weight. others do it to get drunk quicker and it has a trendy new drunkorexia.d allworth collegeconceatn ng mtentn the sr it's extremely dangerous. drinking on an empty stomachn l. the long term risks are less understood. he says tool. alcohol has empty calories. you'll be hungry and typically a night of heavy drinking leads to heavy eating. if you or someone you know is having a problem with this, it's best to talk to a mental health expert or an addiction counselor. all in all, it's better to eat healthy throughout the day. if you drink, drink in moderation. and never drink and drive. ali gorman, channel6 "action news. >> new measures to try to stop young peoplerom smoking are about to take effect in philadelphia. the new regulations prohibit new tobaccoler permits within 500 feet o through 12 school. the measures also target tobacco advertising and they'll bring tougher fines for stores caught selling cigarettes to children. the new regulations begin january 1st. a church in wilmington delaware isting new near al year after it burned down. today reverend cleveland brock and members of the newjerusalemt church broke ground. that church was destroyed last year after two separate fires two weeks apart. the pastor and his congregation vowed to rebuild in the same place. >> we want to come home back to the community where we are needed a needed to the community. and we want to be able to be a blessing to this community and our children. >> firefighters in wilmington said the cause of the fire was undetermined. >> police in london now say an initial autopsy of george michael has come backnclusive. officials say they have ruled out foul play but more tests are needed to determine exactly what caused his death. police say the final answer could take several weeks. the 53-year-old died at his countryside home in england on christmas day. todd fisher tells abc news his family is planning a joint funeral for his mother debbie reynolds and his sister carrie fisher. fisher of course best known to moviegoers as princess leia died on tuesday after going into cardiac arrest on a plane days earlier. her mother hollywood legend debbie reynolds died one day later after suffering an apparent stroke. tonight abc news will take a look back at the duo's loving but complex relationship. debbie and carrie a hollywood love story airs tonight at 10 o'clock on 6abc. lever could cause those second row seats to shift suddenly in a crash. the recall involves 2011 to 2016 odysseys. the automaker says they have not received any reports of injuries linked to that flaw. >> a delaware county boy who raised money to help a local police officer battling cancer got a pretty big surprise today. a fleet of police officers presented five-year-old avery graham with a custom-made police uniform this afternoon. this happened after the boy sold hundreds of bracelets to raise money for officer steve add mick. they stopped by to give him that uniform ton thank avery for his efforts good. >> for him to want to do something for a police officer who we made friends, yes we did make friends and for him to go this far high to give something back. >> the officer and avery formed a unique friendship because he used to check out on him when he was on patrol. santa claus is back on facebook after his account was suspended on christmas day of all days. of course we're talking about the city councilman in north pole alaska whose legal name is actually santa claus. facebook had suspended his account because the company didn't believe it was his actual name nor the new year as we look at shawn mountain. a snapshot here. white on the slopes. they did pick up a little bit of snow a couple days ago up sae lower part of the delaware valley and lehigh valley but the mountains definitely struggling the last several decembers to get natural snow especially for spring mountain bear creek resort closer to the last sixbecause in years in a row december temperatures were running above average with a lack of natural snow. this year we're running about 1.3 degrees above normal. last year blow torch year almost 14 degrees above normal for the month of december and that continues backs well as 2011, you have to go down to 2010 before we saw a december in and around our region that was below normal. winds gusting today did feel like winter out there, 28 right now in philadelphia, but the winds are beginning to ease a bit. 39 miles an hour wind gusts right now in lancaster, 30 at the atlantic city airport. and many observations not reporting 'cause what we saw breaking through our region at times today but of course did not accumulate to anything. mainly clear tonight, less wind dropping back seven to 14 miles an hour. air temperatures in the 20's. tomorrow we're going back above normal to end 2016, 45 philadelphia, a lot of high clouds, still a brief 10 to 20 miles an hour so 40's may feel at times like it's only in the 30's. evening this year will have to wait tiny bit longer to say happy new year. that's because guess what? there's an extra second in 2016. the world's for most authority on time has added a leap second to the end of decemrear.k second just like a leap year to bring the world's clocks, the atomic clocks in sync with the earth's rhythm. that rhythm is determined by the planet's rotation which can fluctuate experience. take a look. 39-year-old landon dern burger lept 300 feet off a phoenix mountain on tuesday. his parachute blew him toward the cliff instead of away from it. a off duty firefighter was liking nearby and rushed to help. he fractured his ankle and shattered both heels but still plans to jump again. >> i'd rather be jumping than sitting in a hospital but when i'm better i'll go out and do it again. >> that will take awhile. his prognosis is good but he still needs more surgery. investigators are calling it a freak accident. a 40-year-old mother was killed when she fell from a chair lift at a ski resort. >> station one respond to ski granby ranch for three patients that fell from the chair lift approximately 25 feet. >> well, first responders rushed to ski granby ranch colorado after the family visiting from texas fell from the lift. the woman's two daughters ages nine and 12 were injured. the nine-year-old is still in the hospital. investigators are trying to figure out what caused them to fall 20 feet off that lift. the lift remains closed. >> two florida kids reopened their lemonade stand after they were robbed by a pair of tine teenagers. according to police the teens confronted the nine-year-old kids at the lemonade stand on wednesday. officials say the teens were not happy with the amount of lemonade poured into their cups and started yelling at the children. one of the kids then threw water at the teens so the teens pushed one of the nine-year-olds to the ground then took an ipod and the $13 they made that day. >> innocent. they're just sitting there with a b magic an adulto the called 911. they were charged with robbery, battery and petty theft. new york's famous carnegie deli will serve its final oversized pastrami sandwiches today. the we take a look at the action cam at fdr park in south philadelphia earlier today, again a lot of clouds this afternoon with those cold winds that pushed in. that very unstable air off of the great lakes that created some of those snow showers and snow flurries. as we take a look at the poconos as well here we've got a photo in on our facebook page here. the photo credit from beth here. a beautiful shot up in the poconos with some fresh snow on the ground there and you can see some breaks of blue and always a great contrast this time of year when you have the brown on the ground there with the trees and then you capture some of those white clouds, breaks of blue sky and then that snow covered ground as well. as we look at wind chills, 16 right now from the poconos, 20's far northwestern suburbs. the remainder of the area in the 30's and for the most part it is below freezing at least how it feels when you step out. low pressure that brought again more than 2 feet of snow into parts of maine now lifting into eastern canada. the winds around that low what brought some of those snow showers away from the great lakes but as you can see the clouds quickly falling apar interact with tends comings to bring in the clouds as well as those snow showers. tonight mainly clear. winds are going to ease back to about seven to 14 miles an hour, 24 in allentown, 26 in trenton, 28 philadelphia 20's even millville dover, the only spots in the 30's will be at the shore. as we look at the day planner here as we go into new year's eve, 31 degrees with a lot of sun in the morning and we'll see a milky white sky in the afternoon. it's just some high clouds that will be passing through ahead of a front but notice the temperatures do go up into the lower and mid 40's in the afternoon so back above normal. the winds will be between 10 and 20 miles an hour tomorrow so wind chills will be a bit cooler than what you are seeing here displayed for the air temperature and as we get into the evening hours temperatures right around that 40-degree mark. 45 the official high with highs to our south. winds again 10 to 20 miles an hour. front comes through right around the midnight hour or thereafter and that brings in high pressure for new year's day. lots of sunshine the second half of the weekend. a mild start to the new year for january, 50 degrees on the first day and it's kind of good timing if you're heading to the game down in south philadelphia there at the linc, a bright sky, light winds kickoff temperature to the fourth quarter, temperatures in the upper 40's to near 50 degrees for that last game. as we look at the exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast, mid 40's which is above average tomorrow but a bit on the breezy side. winds do come down for sunday, 50 for a high. then on monday it's a drizzly raw damp kind of day. 48 degrees. but the rain, it's still here on tuesday on and off but the temperatures do jump by a good 12 degrees from monday and it stays very balmy on wednesday sg before colder air floods in at the end of next week and we'll have to watch the coast for a possible storm by of next week but until then, enjoy a very quiet, made an arrest after two women attacked a wawa employee with hot coffee. this happened at the wawa on 69th street in upper darby yesterday afternoon. police say the women filled a cup with hot coffee in that store and then purposely tossed it in the employee's face. it is still not clear why they did this. in delaware, police have arrested a smyrna man for trying to rob a gas station and a liquor store. according to officials 25-year-old philip harden confronted the female clerk at a valero in smyrna last night saying he wanted to rob the business. he ran to the back of the store. hardin ran off and tried to rob reba's liquors nearby. he's held on $6,000 bail. >> firefighters still trying to determine what started a fire that badly damaged a home in bucks county. this viewer video shows smoke pouring from the home as crews torque get under control. the fire started at 7:00 a.m. on red cedar lane in levittown. firefighters say two dogs died inside. no people were injured. attorneys for comedian bill cosby are trying to get his sex assault trial moved out of montgomery county. cosby is scheduled to go to court this summer for allegedly drugging and molesting a woman at his elkins park home in 2004. cosby's lawyers filed a motion today arguing that possible jurors could have been icoverag. they say they would be willing to bring in a jury from elsewhere. no word when the judge will rule on the motion. a bigther tonight the delaware valley but the winds are dying down in time for the weekend. a live look right now at penn's landing through sky6. it will be ae tend ut 2017 will sta off with p some milder tem meteorologist adam joseph in for cecily tynan tonight live at the big board with the forest. hey, adam. >> quite a turn around in temperatures as we go through the upcoming weekend. those flurries and snow showers due to the strong winds coming in of the great lakes picking up some of that moisture so lake effect snow showers at times and snow flurries and most of them at this point falling apart and that will be the trend overnight tonight. but it was pretty windy. 37 miles an hour in philadelphia, highest wind gusts in allentown 35 and as high as 40 miles an hour for atlantic city as well as the poconos where wind chills were pretty brutal through much of the day. as we head into tomorrow, which is new year's eve day when we hit the evening hours when many festivities will be going on outdoors, indoors, not too chilly. 41 deg evening and only a 1 degree drop in temperature in that six-hour period to midnight so very mild so to speak relatively speaking for the as we look r holidayember. weekend saturday's official high will be 45 tomorrow with some high clouds. it will be a bit on the breezy side. with that breeze we'll phil feel a bit cooler than 45 but temperatures above normal on sunday, 50 with wall to wall sunshine and less wind. we'll talk about a seven day that showsn and warmer temperatures in that forecast, monica, in just a little bit. >> sounds good. thank you adam.e are less than hours remaining in 2016 and with the clock ticking until we ring in the new year and officials are preparing for big celebrations over the weekend. philadelphia police expecting thousands of people to pack the shores of the delaware river for the city's fireworks celebration. there is heightened concern in the wake of recent attacks in europe. local officials won't go into detail about their security measures but they'll have them in place this weekend saying they're looking at past events to make sure this holiday is just as safe. >> we've used a number of those tactics throughout the past in a number of different events we've had here most recently the dnc as well as our july 4th celebration. we'll have the same type of tactics in place. >> meantime the action cam on south broad street today where barriers are already up for sunday's mummers parade. >> and people around our area are also stocking up for their own holiday celebrations. northbound by the vine but that's all off to the side. slower speeds are on the southbound side in delco just 11 miles per hour. the culprit there mainly earlier sun glare. have a crash by the eagleville tavern in montgomery county along eagleville road at ridge pike. not too bad on any of the highways out here like 422, just a little sluggish on the northbound northeast extension. in edgewater park, burlington county by holiday ice cream, watch out for a wreck along 130 near bridgeboro road. our crash in pennsville by the acme is gone from broadway so you're good there but slow across the delaware memorial bridge getting into delaware. that joins up with delays along 95 and 495. and now there's a crash as well in minquedale close to the fairfield inn and suites near lovelace transmitter coming from beneath the water. president obama will meet with lawmakers to try to device a plan that would keep obamacare in act after he leaves office. senate majority leader mitch in order to save calories for drinking alcohol. it's more common on college campuses a ica dangerous. it's estimated more than 40 percent ofollege student binge drink consuming large amounts of alcohol in a short period of time. some are coupling it with another dangerous behavior, eating less or not at all. some do it to save calories so they don't gain weight. others do it to get drunk quicker and it has a trendy new drunkorexia.d allworth collegeconceatn ng mtentn the sr it's extremely dangerous. drinking on an empty stomachn l. the long term risks are less understood. he says tool. alcohol has empty calories. you'll be hungry and typically a night of heavy drinking leads to heavy eating. if you or someone you know is having a problem with this, it's best to talk to a mental health expert or an addiction counselor. all in all, it's better to eat healthy throughout the day. if you drink, drink in moderation. and never drink and drive. ali gorman, channel6 "action news. >> new measures to try to stop young peoplerom smoking are about to take effect in philadelphia. the new regulations prohibit new tobaccoler permits within 500 feet o through 12 school. the measures also target tobacco advertising and they'll bring tougher fines for stores caught selling cigarettes to children. the new regulations begin january 1st. a church in wilmington delaware isting new near al year after it burned down. today reverend cleveland brock and members of the newjerusalemt church broke ground. that church was destroyed last year after two separate fires two weeks apart. the pastor and his congregation vowed to rebuild in the same place. >> we want to come home back to the community where we are needed a needed to the community. and we want to be able to be a blessing to this community and our children. >> firefighters in wilmington said the cause of the fire was undetermined. >> police in london now say an initial autopsy of george michael has come backnclusive. officials say they have ruled out foul play but more tests are needed to determine exactly what caused his death. police say the final answer could take several weeks. the 53-year-old died at his countryside home in england on christmas day. todd fisher tells abc news his family is planning a joint funeral for his mother debbie reynolds and his sister carrie fisher. fisher of course best known to moviegoers as princess leia died on tuesday after going into cardiac arrest on a plane days earlier. her mother hollywood legend debbie reynolds died one day later after suffering an apparent stroke. tonight abc news will take a look back at the duo's loving but complex relationship. debbie and carrie a hollywood love story airs tonight at 10 o'clock on 6abc. lever could cause those second row seats to shift suddenly in a crash. the recall involves 2011 to 2016 odysseys. the automaker says they have not received any reports of injuries linked to that flaw. >> a delaware county boy who raised money to help a local police officer battling cancer got a pretty big surprise today. a fleet of police officers presented five-year-old avery graham with a custom-made police uniform this afternoon. this happened after the boy sold hundreds of bracelets to raise money for officer steve add mick. they stopped by to give him that uniform ton thank avery for his efforts good. >> for him to want to do something for a police officer who we made friends, yes we did make friends and for him to go this far high to give something back. >> the officer and avery formed a unique friendship because he used to check out on him when he was on patrol. santa claus is back on facebook after his account was suspended on christmas day of all days. of course we're talking about the city councilman in north pole alaska whose legal name is actually santa claus. facebook had suspended his account because the company didn't believe it was his actual name nor the new year as we look at shawn mountain. a snapshot here. white on the slopes. they did pick up a little bit of snow a couple days ago up sae lower part of the delaware valley and lehigh valley but the mountains definitely struggling the last several decembers to get natural snow especially for spring mountain bear creek resort closer to the last sixbecause in years in a row december temperatures were running above average with a lack of natural snow. this year we're running about 1.3 degrees above normal. last year blow torch year almost 14 degrees above normal for the month of december and that continues backs well as 2011, you have to go down to 2010 before we saw a december in and around our region that was below normal. winds gusting today did feel like winter out there, 28 right now in philadelphia, but the winds are beginning to ease a bit. 39 miles an hour wind gusts right now in lancaster, 30 at the atlantic city airport. and many observations not reporting 'cause you have to get to a certain threshold in order for our instruments to register a wind gust. but wind chill 28 right now allentown, 29 in reading, feels below freezing from trenton philadelphia wilmington. even down to the south only 32 in dover. sun this morning. then the clouds erupted with those cold winds coming in out of the northwest picking up some lake effect snow showers and that's what we saw breaking through our region at times today but of course did not accumulate to anything. mainly clear tonight, less wind dropping back seven to 14 miles an hour. air temperatures in the 20's. tomorrow we're going back above normal to end 2016, 45 philadelphia, a lot of high clouds, still a brief 10 to 20 miles an hour so 40's may feel at times like it's only in the 30's. evening traditional mummers day parade. lawn enforcement officials will not talk specifics of course when it comes to security but say the big events in our city have prepared the police force well. well, this year will have to wait tiny bit longer to say happy new year. that's because guess what? there's an extra second in 2016. the world's for most authority on time has added a leap second to the end of decemrear.k second just like a leap year to bring the world's clocks, the atomic clocks in sync with the earth's rhythm. that rhythm is determined by the planet's rotation which can fluctuate live look at cottman avenue. another good thing about 2016 happened last week the addition of the fourth lanes at cottman. now traffic moves much better here as well. down in delaware some slow speeds along 95, northbound byu. crash in minquedale has and a live look in cape may county alongarden state parkway. we also got a new bridge or the great egg harbor bay this year. it's little wider a experience. take a look. 39-year-old landon dern burger lept 300 feet off a phoenix mountain on tuesday. his parachute blew him toward the cliff instead of away from it. a off duty firefighter was liking nearby and rushed to help. he fractured his ankle and shattered both heels but still plans to jump again. >> i'd rather be jumping than sitting in a hospital but when i'm better i'll go out and do it again. >> that will take awhile. his prognosis is good but he still needs more surgery. investigators are calling it a freak accident. a 40-year-old mother was killed when she fell from a chair lift at a ski resort. >> station one respond to ski granby ranch for three patients that fell from the chair lift approximately 25 feet. >> well, first responders rushed to ski granby ranch colorado after the family visiting from texas fell from the lift. the woman's two daughters ages nine and 12 were injured. the nine-year-old is still in the hospital. investigators are trying to figure out what caused them to fall 20 feet off that lift. the lift remains closed. >> two florida kids reopened their lemonade stand after they were robbed by a pair of tine teenagers. according to police the teens confronted the nine-year-old kids at the lemonade stand on wednesday. officials say the teens were not happy with the amount of lemonade poured into their cups and started yelling at the children. one of the kids then threw water at the teens so the teens pushed one of the nine-year-olds to the ground then took an ipod and the $13 they made that day. >> innocent. they're just sitting there with a b magic an adulto the called 911. they were charged with robbery, battery and petty theft. new york's famous carnegie deli will serve its final oversized pastrami sandwiches today. the restaurant closes for good at midnight. the deli's owner says she's closing for personal reasons and want to spends more time enjoying her life. the kearny deli in bethlehem pennsylvania and several other locations though will stay opened. >> couple rare adorable creatures made their debut. they're just 12 days old. aren't they cute. they're only about 50 of them in captivity in north america. the animals are nocturnal. they're native to southeast asia. they may look cute but when they're grown up these guys will have vice like grip and a venomous bite. >> yikes. >> they'll go on display to week. i that you have get those reps and get extra reps knowing there's been a couple weeks where i barely get any reps, so not ideal for my play. it's been hard. >> eagles season has been hard to we take a look at the action cam at fdr park in south philadelphia earlier today, again a lot of clouds this afternoon with those cold winds that pushed in. that very unstable air off of the great beautiful shot up in the poconos with some fresh snow on the ground there and you can see some breaks of blue and always a great contrast this time of year when you have the brown on the ground there with the trees and then you capture some of those white clouds, breaks of blue sky and then that snow covered ground as well. as we look at wind chills, 16 right now from the poconos, 20's far northwestern suburbs. the remainder of the area in the 30's and for the most part it is below freezing at least how it feels when you step out. low pressure that brought again more than 2 feet of snow into parts of maine now lifting into eastern canada. the winds around that low what brought some of those snow showers away from the great lakes but as you can see the clouds quickly falling apar interact with tends comings to bring in the clouds as well as those snow showers. tonight mainly clear. winds are going to ease back to about seven to 14 miles an hour, 24 in allentown, 26 in trenton, 28 philadelphia 20's even millville dover, the only spots in the 30's will be at the shore. as we look at the day planner here as we go into new year's eve, 31 degrees with a lot of sun in the morning and we'll see a milky white sky in the afternoon. it's just some high clouds that will be passing through ahead of a front but notice the temperatures do go up into the lower and mid 40's in the afternoon so back above normal. the winds will be between 10 and 20 miles an hour tomorrow so wind chills will be a bit cooler than what you are seeing here displayed for the air temperature and as we get into the evening hours temperatures right around that 40-degree mark. 45 the official high with highs to our south. winds again 10 to 20 miles an hour. front comes through right around the midnight hour or thereafter and that brings in high pressure for new year's day. lots of sunshine the second half of the weekend. a mild start to the new year for january, 50 degrees on the first day and it's kind of good timing if you're heading to the game down in south philadelphia there at the linc, a bright sky, light winds kickoff temperature to the fourth quarter, temperatures in the upper 40's to near 50 degrees for that last game. as we look at the exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast, mid 40's which is above average tomorrow but a bit on the breezy side. winds do come down for sunday, 50 for a high. then on monday it's a drizzly raw damp kind of day. 48 degrees. but the rain, it's still here on tuesday on and off but the temperatures do jump by a good 12 degrees from monday and it stays very balmy on wednesday sg before colder air floods in at the end of next week and we'll have to watch the coast for a possible storm by of next week but until then, enjoy a very quiet, preparations to ring in 2017. philadelphia has a busy weekend of celebrations on tap. festivities start with two fireworks displays on the delaware river. then of course the mummers parade will take over broad street on new year's day.
