Fattah is accused of racketeering mail fraud bank fraud and bribery all to pay debts from his failed run for mayor and to pay off his sons college tuition. Today fattah said hes done nothing wrong. In new jersey, a suspected white supremacist is behind bars after he was found in the woods with an ak47 and lots of ammunition. 42yearold bruce post of trenton was arrested yesterday in lacy township. He was wearing combat gear at the time. Post has been tied to a murder back in 1995. A second man was detained yesterday with post but was not arrested. Post is sitting in jail on 400,000 bond. The south jersey man accused of killing his own threeyearold son was back in court today as his attorneys tried to get a grand jury indictment thrown out. Reporter the attorney filed these motions aimed at getting the grand jury indictment thrown out and his client released from jail. Frankly something that rarely happens. He argued that the medical examiners investigation was flawed from the start. With his client david creato sitting beside him the attorney argued that the medical examiner dr. Gerald fygan misled the grand jury by implying he had gone to the crime scene the day the boy was found dead when instead it was a few days later when which he said mom priced the investigation going forward. Hes a disgrace. He has a horrific past as a medical examiner and now here he is doing frankly a terrible job that he has to cover by going to this grand jury and at best misleading them. Reporter david creato reported his son missing on the morning of october 13th 2015. Few hours later brendan was found partially submerged in a creek threequarters of a mile from his fathers app. Hits socks were clean and authorities said someone placed brendan in the water. Today the prosecutor argued this was a comprehensive grand jury investigation and the me did nothing wrong. What happened was detectives from the Prosecutors Office recovered the body from the water and turned it over to the medical Examiners Office which is also the practice in this county. Reporter the judge agreed with the prosecution and denied the motion to dismiss the indictment. It would set federal mandates for reporting child abuse and neglect and assure the state screens for Domestic Violence when investigating child abuse. Casey first introduced the bill in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky scandal. It happens to a lot of people who used to smoke. Theres no cure for it but experts are trying to find ways to help people have a better quality of life. Local researchers say a device that theyre testing is a step in the right direction. For years even walking a hallway 66yearold Robert Palmisano struggled to breathe. It felt like i couldnt breathe. I had a very tight chest. Reporter he has emphysema. It robs lungs of their hell elasticity. They cant push air out so people like robert have a hard time breathing in even for ordinary tasks. Mopping floor, Something Like that, taking a shower was very, very difficult for me. Reporter when robert exhausted the standard treatments, he got into a study at Temple Health testing the use of springy metal coils. Theyre designed to hold diseased lung tissue back allowing healthy tissue to expand and take in oxygen. Dr. Girard creiner says its a invasive process. Its a small tube about the size of your pinkie thats flexible. Ct scans also help doctors determine the placement. Robert got coils in one lung in november. The other in january. After the second time the results were actually mediate. I actually felt better as soon as the anesthesia lifted. In the standard six minute walking test, patients in the study were able to walk an average of about 50 feet more one year after getting the coils. Just a month after his procedure, robert walked 173 feet farther in the six minutes. Thats more than half the distance of a football field.
