Health reporter and registered nurse ali gorman joins us at the big board with more on that. Rick youll like this. The overall message is you dont have to do anything drastic to see results. Doing small consistent changes can get you closer to a beach body in time for the summer season. Beach season is coming soon. To get ready fitness trainer Carly Reuben Stein has created a beach ball workout. The first exercise sit against the wall. She takes me and Marisa Rosenthal through the four moves. The first a wall squat. While also squeezing the beach ball. Tuck firming into the beach ball. Press it up and bring it in. Your weight should be on your heels and youll feel this in both lower and upper body. This is harder than it looks. Next we transition to alternating lunches agai alternating lunges. If you want more intensity add a jump. The third move works your core and obliques. Up and down, up and when youre ready and you feel stable lift those legs off the ground. The last move is pushups with reach. You can modify by going on your knees or make it more difficult by staying on your toes and placing the ball farther away. Then you got reach a little further to hit it. Carly says do each move for 30 seconds with 10 seconds transition time. Repeat the circuit four or five times, three to four times a week. I think small changes go a long way. She says if you keep consistent with this simple workout and make just small tweaks to your diet, its easier to maintain and you will see results. And as for the tweaks to your diet again theyre small changes but if done consistently they can make a difference even in just 30 days. I posted the tips on my facebook page.
