Moment of impact. You can see the blue tarp on the tractor and the trailer sitting on the tracks when this passenger train comes plowing into it. Whoever taking the cell phone video reacting to it. Amtrak says there were 212 passengers on board and eight crew members so 220 people total. We now know at this time that 55 people were transported to area hospitals with injuries. Meanwhile passengers who were okay are wie loaded i dont ton buses that were waiting for them and moved away from the scene. Now, were told the trailer was oversized and was carrying a large electrical unit. It was also apparently trying to make a turn over the tracks when it apparently got stuck. Were also hearing that the truck was being escorted and accompanied by Highway Patrol vehicles because of its size but its not clear whether police notified amtrak that the truck was actually stuck at that time. Now, as i mentioned, the train was due to stop in philadelphia this evening. If you are looking for information about a passenger on board amtrak has a number that you can call. Well put that up for you. Its one8005239101. In the sat center, Sharrie Williams back to you guys in the studio. Sharrie thank you very much. Of course 6abc. Com will continue to update the story. Thats coming up on action news tonight at 6 oclock. A Police Officer is hospitalized after his patrol car hit a house in Camden County this afternoon. The winslow township cruiser crashed in the 500 block of paris avenue about 1 oclock. The officer whose names is not released was responding to a crash further south on berlin cross keys road when he lost control. He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. A 20yearold Montgomery County woman is missing tonight. She was last seen leaving her Upper Providence home three days ago and the car she was driving was found abandoned along route 4 22 in upper merion township. That is where action News Reporter david henry is joining us live. David you spoke to the womans family. Reporter yeah, monica and you can imagine how desperately they are seeking any little bit of information. This is where the car was found right here on this stretch of u. S. 422 on friday night around 7 20, it was abandoned in an eastbound lane and 20yearold deidre magalon was gone, hasnt been seen since. Not like her to not leave for days on end with no word at all. Reporter deidre took her sister jamies car and left home between 6 40 and 7 oclock. At 7 20 the car was found abandoned on route 4 22 between the turnpike and route 202. Jamie says it has a loose battery cable which apparently came off when deidre was driving. I think she hit a pothole and i think it came undone and only i know how to fix that. She would have had no idea. Reporter deidre doesnt have a cell phone to call for help, which also makes it harder to trace her. What happened to her after she left the car is anyones are guess. We have had a lot of leads come in and theres been some witness that is believe they may have seen her hitchhiking at or about that time period on 76 and were following up on those leads. Reporter deidre took off in the car without jamies permission. Jamies wallet was still on the seat when she left it and nothing inside appeared to have been disturbed. Earlier today Upper Merion Police searched the area where the car broke down but still no sign of what might have happened. Its possible deidre may have gotten a lift and joined up with friends. But her family is convinced she would have found a way to contact them by now. Were just trying stick together through all this and its hard on all of us. We just want her to come home. Reporter deidres mom says shes impulsive but has never disappeared like this before. We love her so much and we would love for her to come home. We all love you and deidre you dont know how many people are out there missing you and loving you and worrying about you. Reporter deidres family has taken to social media for help in gathering information about her possible whereabouts. Weve got pictures of her poster on 6abc that you can look at any time and if you think you may have seen her the police want to hear from you at 911 right away. Its tax season here at the h and r block at the hope plaza on 21st and lehigh. Their thoughts are on officer Robert Wilson and his family. As a memorial grows larger by the minute outside the game stop where he was shot and killed. They closed early because of the snow. Only later did they find a bullet had gone right through the front window. Surely one of them would have been hit had they been there. Could have been people signing in or anything, just scary to think that Something Like that could actually happen where you work at. I hate that it happened you know, but and its so close to home. Its just overwhelming. Reporter around 4 45 officer wilson was inside the game stop buying a birthday present for his eldest son who turns 10 today. Police say 29yearold carleton hipps and 24yearold Ramon Williams came in with guns drawn and engaged in a fierce gun battle with the officer who was shot in the head and died. The suspects, brothers were taken into the custody and charged with murder. At the 22nd district flowers and condolences are pouring in from around the country as black bunting hangs outside. I thought i was going to lose a wheel a couple times. I know. There are a ton of them out there and this afternoon were not only dodging them but dodging some unpleasantness along 95. Youre losing time if youre headed for 95. Northbound sides locked up from the Commodore Barry bridge through this point just north of the blue route where theres an accident. Vehicle favoring sideways taking out the left lane. Very slow northbound but even slower southbound from just past the airport on down to 320. Thats where the off ramp from the southbound side to 320 is shut down because of a crash. Theres a minivan facing sideways into a barrier on that ramp. So, if thats normally your ramp, i think id bail for the blue route northbound, run that up to macdade and from there you can get to where youre going in the neighborhood. In newark a crash blocking the westbound lanes on 322. I know that temperatures are only in the mid50s but you may still be thinking about the shore.
