Reporter this dramatic photo was captured in heartfield, alaba alabama, it set the stage for devastation, killing two people in arkansas and alabama. A 75yearold woman was crushed by a tree that fell on ton of her mobile home. Tried everything i could to get her out but there was a tree on top of her. In arkansas a father was killed and his wife and children rushed to the hospital after their home was leveled. They are picking through the debris of what was one their homes. I think it was an ef 2, its main determination was the mobile home behind me that was pretty much demolished. And louisiana a state of emergency, trees uproots and power lines left dangling and this is a picture of a funnel cloud in tennessee. And crews were out cleaning up after drenching rain and downed trees wrecked the home in this development. Its traumatic to walk up and see the back of your house demolished and watching the rain pour down. All of this weather is heading east, several americans in big cities are right in its path. Here is hour region temperatures are rising and it will sure feel like summer today. Meteorologist, david murphy, is outside enjoying this nice day and has all the details from accuweather. The calm before the storm sara, as you see the system to the west, creating all the problems to our friends to the south and west and its still occurring in georgia and south carolina, but no such problem for us, we have clouds spread out enough to allow sunshine in between them. It probably looks better on the ground than this satellite suggests and the showers in pittsburgh and the virginias is not a problem for us. 80 for a high this afternoon in philadelphia, that is right i said 80 and for the evening commute, breezy conditions and warm and 78 by 4 00 and mid70s by 5 30 and the low 70s by 7 00 tonight. A little bit muggy, but not too shabby. Here is the wide view with the large system to the west, notice how slowly its pushing to the east, we dont have a threat of rain today. You see some red and yellow boxes forming ahead of that main line east of atlantic a, the red one is a tornado watch box, and there are severe thunderstorms, as it pushes towards the east, it looks like well get some heavy downpour producing rain cells and strong gusty thunderstorms as well tomorrow afternoon and overnight into early thursday morning. I talked about this a while ago, but lets go through this again, if we get storms, here are the main threats, downpours whether or not we see thunderstorms are likely because of the humid air we have building in over the next 24 hours, locatized flooding but not major creek and stream flooding. This is flashy roads that tend to take on the flooding easily. Its possible if we do pop storms. And the
National Storm<\/a> prediction sent ser warning of a pond books possible tornado up and down the east coast, but that is a stretch for us. I think just downpours, localized flooding and strong
Straight Line<\/a> gusty winds, this is enough to make sure you treat these storms with respect. Well have another look at future tracker 6 when i step inside, detailing the arrival and what is next in the accuweather seven day. Thank you. By 11 30 at night when cecily is wrapping things up shell probably some some showers and additional thunderstorms to show you.
