>> yes net, thank you. new jersey senators say the immigration ban is unconstitutional and could jeopardize national security. menendez says he hope hopes thoe that question the order will stand up to join the feet. outside the supreme court, booker summoned an army of opposition. >> now more than ever as donald trump proceeds with an unconstitutional and immoral executive order, we must stand up to this test and fight to make sure that the truth of america is known. >> pennsylvania senator pat tomby released a statement saying he supports increased vetting but the executive order was flawed, too broad and poorly explained. former president obama weighed in making his first public statement since leaving the oval office and make ago not so subtle criticism of the new president early on. obama said he fundamentally disagrees with the notion of discriminating against individuals because of their faith or religion. backlash to the travel ban is coming from the other corners of the world, iraq and iran are considering bans on americans entering their countries. several thousand people protested in london, calling on the british prime minister to cancel trump's visit. the heads of apple, ford, e-bay, cokcoca-cola and others came out against the order. starbucks say they'll hire 10,000 refugees worldwide. as for the foreign families affected when they turned around at airports, many airlines say they'll help with rebooking or refunding tickets. >> syrian families living in the united states have already experienced heartbreak because of the travel ban. the assali family of allentown was expecting six relatives this weekend. hours after their arrival this weekend, they were sent back to syria. they showed off the home they bought and renovated for their family members. custom's officials wouldn't let them contact their family at the airport. >> they felt treated like criminals. it's not the american way. everyone has rights. >> immigration attorneys expect to file a motion in federal court to have their revoked visas reinstated. tomorrow night at this time we'll know president trump's pick for the supreme court. he will announce it from the east room at the white house at 8:00. his pick is someone "unbelievably highly respected." some people close to the president say there could be a wild card. democrats have signaled their intention to filibuster this appointment. our coverage of the travel ban controversy continues on "6abc".com. we'll bring you the updates from president trump's administration as they happen as well as reaction from the region. closer to home there is a death investigation tonight. a 74-year-old man was found dead inside his home early this afternoon. authorities remain tight lipped about the investigation tonight. family members tell "action news" that police have not given them information about what happened. a driver escaped unharmed tonight after crashing into a delaware county gas station and setting a pump on fire. it happened near oak avenue and glen olden at 9:00. the bmw was burned, fuel pump gutted by the blaze. the driver simply lost control. >> it was tragic in burlington county. one person was killed when a jeep and suv collided. it happened at robin hill drive. the roads were slick abuse of a snow squall. we don't know if that led to the crash. others in the crash didn't require an ambulance. >> chopper 6 is over the scene o of a crash in north philadelphia tonight. the striking vehicle stopped. you can see it there draped with crime scene tape. authorities haven't said if charges are warranted or about the victim. >> family and friends came together to honor two sisters struck and killed by an alleged drunk driver. it happened on the boulevard in philadelphia. christie ileto was live at the crash site tonight. the family moved here thinking it would be safer. loretta boykin lost her two daughters and there's a memorial half a block from their home. >> holding balloons of their favorite color, the grieving family stood at the intersection where they lost their lives. >> choking back tears, their mother had strong words for the man responsible. >> i don't hate this man. i'm going to let god handle him. >> the sisters, 19 and 10 were crossing roosevelt boulevard in the crosswalk when kenneth ran into them. he was trying to make a light that turned yellow, and was apparently under the influence. >> there are so many options to have, take an uber or taxi, public transportation. >> he fled the scene but with you arrested around the corner from the crash. this highlights the pedestrian dangers on the road. >> they need to change the speed limit and get someone out there. >> something that would be helpful to get people across the divided highway. >> family members say it was one man's bad choices that robbed them of kimberly and loraya. >> what would you like the driver to know?
