Officials evacuated the dorm in the 1900 block of liacouras walk right there in north philadelphia a. Close to 500 students lived in that building and they have all been since sent to a nearby build to go keep warm. University Officials Say four units were damaged. And arctic conditions also resulted in an icy scene as part of the aftermath of a six alarm fire that broke out yesterday morning. You can see how the building remained encased in ice. This is was as a result of the hours of water sprayed on to the structure as Fire Fighters worked to douse those flames. The blaze broke out yesterday morning at a commercial building on the 4600 block of griscom street in the frankford section. Three people were hurt including a fire fighter. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Fire fighters had to deal with both fire and cold this afternoon in chester delaware county. Flames broke out shortly before 5 00 oclock in the two story, twin home in the 1100 block of the street. Fire fighters sounded a second alarm a short time later because of the heavy smoke.
