(music) but months later... there will be weddings in this buliding again -- but under new ownership, the harvest bible chapel church. the non-profit bought the building this summer. 15:33:52 if it can't be a gallery, the gortz haus gallery then this is the next best thing. former owners betty and dick odgaard know the church pretty well - they've been members for 8 months. 15:34:14 we are totally delighted with the they preach the gospel. but still admit... this day is bittersweet. 15:33:55 to pass it over is difficult but we are proud of what it's become. anything less would have been harder. while there will be marriages here, they won't be same sex. the church and the couple see this as a message that they won't stand down from their beliefs... 15:35:28 this was the answer to our prayers, victory in our hearts. harvest bible chapel church says they gutted the basement, and made quite a few renovations. but there's a lot that will stay the same, 15:38:36 we love the history of this building, every part of it 15:38:40 we love this new chapter for this facility to be a church that once again proclaims the gospel. nikki: harvest bible chapel church will have services at 9 and 11 am on sundays. nikki/ots it may be past halloween but november first is another day of celebration-- the day of the dead. the festival is a big part of mexican culture. today at the des moines art center, they held a version of their own featuring arts and crafts, a mariachi band and more. hundreds of people across the metro took part in the festivities. they also paid homage to the dead with a wall of remembrance.
