expected to ramp up in boone county... elias: the iowa utilities board is in the middle of evidentiary hearings on the proposed bakken pipeline. if approved the project would cut the state in half, and transport oil from north dakota to illinois. meanwhile, there's a growing concern that the evidentiary hearings in boone county are irrelevant. some say dakota access is already acting like it has approval for the project, by handing out contracts and stockpiling pipes near newton. once the evidentiary hearings are complete in iowa, there is no set timeline for hte utilities board to make a decision. sabrina: iowans are still voicing their concerns over the proposed oil pipeline...even braving the weather over the weekend to protest.. dozens of people in cedar rapids rallied saturday...all from iowa 350, a local chapter of a national group workjing to address climate change. the protestors called on the iowa utilities board to reject the pipeline...saying it could hurt
