The biggest one is that they will no longer breed orcas in be aivity starting today. The captivity, starting today. It will be the last generation of orcas at sea world, this company who helped the world fall in love with orca, will transition away from theatrical shows and the animals will continue to live at sea world under world class care where visitors can see them for years to come. Luanne killer whales can actually live to be up to 50, and in a couple of decades, all of the orcas at sea world could be gone, as you heard the company says it will introduce new natural orca encounters, rather than those theatrical shows you see now, they will focus on arca enrichment, exercise, and their overall health. The park in san diego actually cancelled all of its orca shows last year. But, these new shows will start at that park next year followed by san antonio and then here in orlando, in 2019. Sea world also announced this morning it is partnering with the humane society. Investigators told us that other people were inside of the house as well. But they were able to get out with minor injuries. A major challenge is finding the right match. But a breakthrough study in the new england journal of medicine shows a Perfect Match may not be necessary. Fox medical teams beth galvin who donated one of her own kidneys last summer joins us live from atlanta to talk more about this. This is fascinating. Reporter it is, amy and it is interesting, because of those 100,000 people you mentioned that are waiting ona kidney transplant, half of them, 50 difficult for them to find a match and my donor was one of those people. And, for 40 of the people waiting may never find a match because of the antibody and what they are doing with the process, desensitization and are going in and tweaking the recipients immune system to make it less likely that he or she will reject a donor kidney from somebody. So it may be really great news for people who waited a long time, and are waiting on a kidney. It is still in the experimental process but seems to be effective. Amy. They are talking about 8 years out, a very high number of these folks are still alive. About 75 . So, you know, that is a very good track record for this particular study or these particular patients. Amy what about other organs . Obviously, the kidney, you know, is great. Any other organs that could work the biggest potential will be kit with kidneys but it may be effective with liver donors and maybe lung donors. The catch, though, is, amy, there has to be a living donor transplant. Like i was part of where somebody gives you one of their kidneys, because they need a couple of weeks and they have to pretreat you before you have your transplant surgery receive your kidney to give you takes out the antibodies of your blood and give you new antibodies and those new antibodies make it less likely that you may reject the kidney, once you get it. We talked about this, the man has not been seen since may of last year. What are the details. He was last heard from his they report hes missing and need us to go investigate to find out what happened to him. We went to his home and found his car missing, three days later found his car abandoned in a parking lot along palm coast parkway not far from his home. Hesy. Detect and has a prosthetic leg and were concerned from a medical standpoint. We found through our investigation a few days prior to us finding his car he was seen in palm coast and know it is suspicious. Why is he missing . There is something afoot. Something is wrong with this investigation. Hes not off on his own, our investigation followed a lot of leads, forensically, we interviewed a lot of people and then looked at this as being suspicious. We looked at this as being more than that. We consider it to be foul play, suspected. All new this morning, a community in shock and family in need of support after a deadly house fire. Amy it happened last night on west mineola street and ridge crest drive in mineola. The sun has come up. The damage that is here. The home is a total loss. The family has lost a loved one, it was engulfed in flames, this home, when crews arrived around 9 00 last night. Three Fire Departments responded plus paramedics and the fire chief says crews went into the home and pulled out one person and they tried to revive the person on scene and were unable to do so. Everybody else escaped with minor injuries, the city of mineola is not identifying the person killed and are waiting until the family can be notified. The sit manager issued the statement. Mineola is a Close Knit Community of people who care about each other and now is the time to come together to pour out love for the family. And, that was the sentiment we got from neighbors, that we talked to this morning. It is hard. I heard one of you say there is something set up for the family. Was like, no, we it is sad to lose a to lose someone the in your family and not be able to mourn them with memorabilia of them, you know . It is awful.
