At an 80,000 square foot facility in sunnyside queens, Brooks Brothers is turning silks into ties by the millions. Downstairs we have the tie factory where we make the vast majority of ties that Brooks Brothers sells. We make a million and a half ties. That means every day we have to push out 5,500 ties. You could have someone touching 3,000 a day. This is the manager in charge of ties, textiles and a diverse population. Population. Experience is something that we value greatly. Its not easy to find talent to work in a craft and skill like the people that we have, we want to retain and we really dont make any decision on age or gender, ethnicity. Were in the 60s towards poughkeepsie where its almost 70 there. 68 in sussex. 63 in monticello. Theres more in the way of cloud cover to our north. These numbers running about 15 to 20 degrees above where they were at this time yesterday. Were in store for a comfortable and unusually mild night across the region. The good news is we should stay relatively dry. We have the light wind in place. We arent expecting any rain this evening, but clouds will be of the skies, across northern sections of the region. We have a mix of sun and clouds. Again, i think clouds will thicken up to the north. We have a cold front sitting just along the Canadian Border extending towards the great lakes. Along that front, weve been seeing some shower activity. The front is kind of sagging just slightly southward. That will give us mostly cloudy skies in areas north of the city. Tomorrow thats how well pretty much handle our day. Well have clouds to the north. Well have clearer skies south of the city. Well see more in the way of sunshine. Overall, im expecting a mix of sun and clouds through the daytime hours tomorrow. Big difference tomorrow will be our drop in temperatures.
