dari: she thought it was pneumonia. >> which is confusing to me. because, you know -- i'm assuming -- we don't know a lot of details. having blood clots in your lungs is a pretty straightforward diagnosis. it doesn't look like a pneumonia. let's assume that she didn't go to the right place. but, look, having a clot in your that could lead to death, and way. once you have a clot in your lungs, you cannot bring oxygen to your body because the clots prevent that. now, here's the thing. why would you get clots? especially in a young woman like her. well, there are several factors. one, sometimes people have inheritable clotting conditions that they don't know. typical example, young girl, getting birth control, she's on the subway, she has pains in her leg, next time she can't breathe and she got that because of the estrogen in the hormones and she has an underlying clinical condition she didn't know. dehydration also a big part. when you're severely dehydrated -- i would assume with the rigorous exercise and routines she has to do, dehydration or just pushing your body the wrong way, that could release a clot in your legs that could travel through your heart into your lungs. a very problematic condition. the good news is it's treatable. she will be on anticoagulation therapy for a long time. these clots tend to resolve themselves. then once you find what triggered it, then people can prevent it. and that's the important message. it's something that you need to treat right away and take very seriously. steve: sure. dari: she was killing it on "dancing with the stars", doing well. despite all the efforts to bring obesity levels down, the cdc says rates are rising. why are we surprised when kentucky fried chicken with deliver to people's houses in san francisco and l.a.? experts admit they don't know. we just said why. >> again, this goes back and scientists are we don'tknow. we're at 38 percent. look at all the campaigns we have and the regulations we have. and people don't know. i tell you what they don't know. there's a lot of factors, and one of them -- yes, people are getting better education online and through government agencies, to eat better, to cut down the transfats and things like that, but we have a item of things that are not happening. no. 1, america lives under a lot of anxiety. they're very worried. when people worry, they eat more and they eat the wrong things. right now with the economy the something that is prevalent throughout the u.s. the second thing is the choices of food we have in our economy are limited. fast food, they lose -- they lose sales and they reinvent -- i think mcdonald's is going to start selling fried cheese. hello. what do you want? this is what happens. the good news statistically is children are not gaining weight. so it's all of us. dari: right. >> in the 20 to 30 category. steve: yeah. i like that. >> but the children are not gaining weight and the statistics are staying low. steve: the bright spot. all right. dari: especially when this is snuggly weather where you want comfort food. steve: you crave the worst stuff. nick: did he say 20 to 30 category?
