It happened overnight, and tamrons got the story. Good morning, everyone. All four people on that helicopter, a patient, pilot, nurse and paramedic died. Now federal investigators are looking into what caused the accident. What began as an emergency tragedy overnight when an air ambulance carrying a critical tient crashed en route to the hospital killing everyone on board. Officials say it was supposed to be a tenminute flight. The skylife medical helicopter took off at about 6 52 p. M. Less than 15 minutes later ems dispatch failed to make contact with the aircraft during a routine safety check. Half an hour later police launched a search. Unable to confirm the terl number, but it is recognizable as a skylife medevaco. Search teams found the helicopter 15 miles north of bakersfield, california, the medical teams final destination. All four people on board, the pilot, paramedic, a nurse and a patient were killed. Their names have not been released, but the ceo of American Ambulance says they were an experienced team.
