The whites and the pinks, that is frozen precipitation, snow showers in some cases and a mix in other ps. We have a Winter Weather advisory in effect. Sussex, morris, sullivan, pike and warren counties and out further west and up to the north. Why . Because that light precip, very light indeed and the freezing temperatures creates dangerous conditions, particularly during the overnight. Were going to watch it in those locations. Not a lot of precipitation but just enough to make the roads dangerous. Take care. All of that should begin to melt away as the morning progresses. So the ice melts in the north and west. There are a lot of credit breaches these days. Its no wonder that people are turning to Credit Monitoring Services for help. Better get baquero for another way to protect your credit. Shiba, this one comes with a cost but its a proactive way to bloc fraudulent accounts from opening up in your name. I had my credit card number stolen three times in the past year. Its cases like that that prompted the question that we asked in midtown, what do you do to protect your credit . We have a Credit Monitoring Service but we got that from home depot for free when they had the breach. They give me a daily basis if anything changes on my credit. How do you feel about that in. I feel good. I feel confident with them. The only thing that credit let you know after the fact whether somebody has opened a new account in your name. Thats one reason why the u. S. Pirg requests consumers consider freezing your credit as a way to protect your identity rather than just credit monitoring. Why would you only want to detect a new account being opened in your name when theres a way to actually prevenn it from happening in the first place. There are three main Credit Reporting agencies and you can keep an eye on your credit by getting a free Credit Report from them each year. But that might not stop someone from opening up a fraudulent account in your name. Do you know what it means to freeze your credit . No ive never done that before. Putting a freeze on your credit can last as long as you like and your credit score wont be penalized but theres a cost here. Depending on your state it can be 3 ars to 10 to freeze your credit and 2 to 12 to refreeze. Credit for a house or a car. Expeerian wants you to remember you have to lift the freeze before you need the credit. The longest it can take the three days. But our experience and understanding is that it can happen online within 15 minutes. My uncle and my dad both have had their credit compromised because of hackers or something compromising with their bank accounts. I think thats a great idea. If its a small fee, its a small price to pay to protect your interests. Well put. While a credit freeze wont stop crooks from stealing your personal information thats already out there, like existing credit cards and accounts, it can stop the criminals from opening new accounts and creating a whole set of new problems.
