As we go through it, gradually we see them coming upwards the next 48 hours, i guess you could say, but even less than that really. Here is a look at temperatures in northern New Hampshire. The Single Digits there and the teens everywhere else this morning, so, we are starting off, certainly about what youd expect this time of year. These are fairly average temperatures. The wind are fairly light out of up a little bit after the sunrises so by later this morning, and into the afternoon, a bit breezy, certainly nothing to worry about in terms of any damage, but youll notice it and make it feel colder is the point. Theres the clouds that have been eroding all night long and clear skies out there and theyll be around for the day today. A few clouds to our west, but most of these are coming off of lake ontario with lake effect snow showers, some of them could drift through, we could see partly to mostly sunny skies through the day today. Again, breezy, but fairly bright out there going through your saturday. Take a look at it here on futurecast, sunshine, just a few clouds here and there. Now, a weak little system will come through and brush by northern New Hampshire tonight. What does that mean . That, a couple of light snow periods or a snow shower or two, a possibility, in northern New Hampshire overnight into tomorrow morning. The rest of us are cloudy to partly cloudy, with temperatures down in the 20s tonight. Over of that warm front crossing through. I did say warm front that will leave some clouds at times, particularly in the North Country. The rest of us back and forth, intervals of clouds and sunshine and much milder temperatures for tomorrow and monday as well. Monday we start off the day with this weak little front rolling through, early in the morning, that means a brief shower or two on monday morning, mostly in the form of rain and monday stays again on the mild side. Thats the last day of february, so the last day of february will be well above average and tuesday, we come into it with a little bit cooler, but still above average temperatures, so, march coming in like a lamb. Breezy and bright for today as i mentioned, highs between 30 and 40 degrees, from 30 up north to 40 in north of southern New Hampshire. A spot or two of lower 40s. There could be areas of snow in the mountains, partly to at times cloudy skies and for tomorrow, holy moly, look at those temperatures. 40s and even lower 50s are on the maps for tomorrow, and that will stick around into monday, as well, as those temperatures on monday hanging around 50 degrees as well. It starts falling, so the last day of february, the 29th. Leap day is going to be a mild one. We start march off on the mild side as well. Gradually falling through, the biggest wild card in the forecast this week will be wednesday that well be watching. Amy ok. Thanks, josh. Its another chilly start out there this morning. Temperatures will modify today and really heading upwards for the second half of the weekend, too. Here is a look at where we stand at the moment in the Single Digits in northern New Hampshire and the teens elsewhere. So, again, this is fairly normal for this time of year, pretty average temperatures for overnight lows. Finally were seeing some average temperatures, but that wont last long as temperatures start to really head upwards. Here is a look at wind, not that gusty right now. Thats part of the reason why temperatures have been allowed to fallover night, but reverse themselves as the sunrises because theres plenty of sun to be had once the clouds, rather, once the sunrises because the clouds have cleared away here overnight. And so, that will clear the way for a good amount of sunshine through the day. Mostly sunny skies, just a few clouds that could drift through at times, you can see some of the lake effect snow showers over in western new york. That isnt making it here. What is making it here, weather system from canada skimming us overnight. After that, we dont have a whole lot to worry about. And brings light snow to northern New Hampshire. Accumulation, a dusting to an inch or two and a couple of spots in New Hampshire and thats about it. Then tomorrow, were clearing out slowly, cloudy to partly cloudy, but cloudy skies will remain in the North Country. Look at the temperatures though. Upper 40s, lower 50s, for central and southern New Hampshire. As we mentioned, were going back up again, as we head into the end of the month and a new month starting here for march. There is your sunday, cooling off period, not a whole lot of cooling off. That means that even monday morning, well have showers roll through and they probably come through as rain. Highs today between 30 and 40 degrees, a little breezy at times. Not a big deal except it makes 20s overnight tonight and then tomorrow, as i mentioned, those temperatures are in the upper 40s and lower 50s, even northern New Hampshire, perhaps the lower 40s tomorrow. A couple of overnight flakes in the mountains and then tomorrow, where intervals of clouds and sun and were all about the 50 degree mark, the other side of it the next couple of days to wrap up february and begin march. The biggest question mark is wednesday, mixed precipitation going over to rain showers, but well watch it. Ok, thanks, josh. Its 6 46. Stories. A possible record in the opioid, it could be the deadliest months for ods in queen city history. 51 suspected overdoses in deadly. A special reunion 25 years after now, meteorologist josh judge with your storm watch 9 forecast. A lot of bright sunshine and blue skies. Be aware if youre out this morning, its on the heal side out there. 17 degrees at the seacoast. As you head inland to the north and west, the temperatures chill off quickly and up in northern New Hampshire north of the notches, were in the Single Digits, some spots down near zero out there. And still, thats about or even still a little above the average lows for this time of year. And the wind fairly light, but theyll pick up a bit through the mid day and afternoon hours, i wouldnt call it all that windy, but certainly enough to be noticeable. Your almanac shows the high is 38 degrees and you know what . Thats right around where were going to top off. We could beat it by a degree or two, but its going to be in that general vicinity. The high tide coming up at 2 15 and the day today will feature a good amount of sunshine all day long. Again, the winds will be a little breezy at times, not enough to cause any damage, but certainly with temperatures about normal for this time of year, a little bit of wind makes it feel cooler. Theres a few clouds off to our west and some through could drift through at times, otherwise, partly sunny skies and nothing huge off to our west at the moment anyway. We have a little front here that drops down and brings a couple of snow showers or some light periods of snow to northern New Hampshire, overnight tonight into early tomorrow morning, and it leaves some clouds around the North Country. As a warm front and upwards in terms of temperatures. Today, we top off in the mid to upper 30s in southern and central New Hampshire and upper 30s and northern parts of the state. The periods of snow that could be around at times during the overnight hours. Just in northern New Hampshire. Everywhere else well stay dry and then tomorrow, we start off with clouds and go back and forth, clouds and sunshine. Clouds linger in the mountains and everywhere else, a partly sunny day and look at the temperatures, upper 40s and lower 50s with the warm front that pulls through and those temperatures remain on the mild side as we go into the next couple of days as well. So, breezy today, but otherwise bright, and a bit on the chilly side. For tonight those temperatures will only get down to about the 20s, so, thats not as cold as it was last night. And it is right now. 20s from north to south, pretty 40 to the low 40s in northern New Hampshire, and upper 40s and parts of the dwran Granite State. And monday, mild conditions continuing, gradually cooling off. The question mark is wednesday, looks like we start off with rain and snow, and question marks about that as we get closer. Well fine tune. Amy we were talking about this last year, can you believe that its 25 years since the end of the gulf war. Josh it seems like yesterday we were bracing for that. Tomorrow. And last night a group of marines from New Hampshire who manchester. Our jean mackin introduces us pto the men who say that the bond is life long. Time seems to melt away when battalion, 25th Marine Division are back together again. It was like coming home. It really was. It felt like we hadnt missed a day though. You see the guys and talk and its like it was yesterday. Time doesnt mean anything to us, we have a special bond and do everything for each other. 25 years ago, they deployed from New Hampshire to serve in operations Desert Shield and desert storm. More than 100 strong, they provided base security under difficult war time conditions. We lived in the desert, right living we dug our sleeping, fighting positions every day, we moved every day, and you dug in, you sat out in the desert. Theres no Running Water where we were at. This is the had a the i wore there. It was the desert storm hat and you can still see some of the oil stains on it from the fires from the oil wells. Because it was a hardship that we went through, created all of these guys, i call brothers. They had no casualties overseas, but since have lost members of their military family. Now they share the memories, a toast, and a salute. Definitely does become a family and its a brotherhood, and that brotherhood does not change through the years. Theres a bond among marines thats unshakeable and never ends. These marines say they have lost contact with some in their company. This is basically an epoxy mixture when you put it in your vase, hold it in place room to room without it having to fiddle and it looks like water. Its a fun winter project while were waiting for snow to melt. The first thing you do is get an inexpensive vase. After all, once you put the epoxy in it, you cant recycle it. And some nice silk flowers and you can cut the silk flowers with wire cutters to get him the height you want in the vase and then if youre afraid that something is not going to stay where you want it while your he an epoxying it, you can use a piece of tape to hold it in place against the vase. On the inside, obviously, thats where you want it to be. Right, right. Remember, youre working with epoxy so you need to have safety glasses and some gloves just for safety precaution, so you just basically take the two, the first one goes in, part a goes in first and then pour part b in and you mix, it takes about five minutes for you to get it thoroughly mixed together and then the funnel just goes in your vase, so that you can get the liquid down into the bottom without getting it all over your flowers. All over the flowers. Right. But then it will keep them just the way you want them . Just the way you want them and move it around. It takes eight to ten hours to set up which is why were actually not doing it, because it would make a mess and whatever cleanup you need to do, you can do with just denatured alcohol and paper towels, pretty straight forward. That will just take it off . That will take it off. Its a good idea to put down newspapers or something to do it on. And when people are putting together the silk flowers, do nicest arrangement . Its nice if you have a couple of pallets so theres had a little bit of pink here in the picture plant that reflects and works well with these other two, so you want to have your numbers in threes, fives or sevens for the number of cuts, use complimentary colors on the color scales or colors that are opposite. This is a special reunion, 25 years after the gulf war ended, now, meteorologist josh judge with your storm watch forecast. A bright and sunny start to our saturday. Will it hold up for the weekend . Thats the question well attempt to answer here in the forecast as we take a look at clairemont in the western part of the state where the temperature is 19 degrees, and start to the day, but certainly chilly. Headed outside youll need to bundle up. The temperatures are going up slowly. Higher than we were just an hour or two ago when we were in the teens and lower in the Single Digits in northern New Hampshire, slowly, its been rising. So, how about the winds . Right now, quite light. Even the top of mount washington, 29 degrees, but as we go through the day today. They do raise just a little bit. Well see those winds begin to gradually get anywhere between 15, maybe even some 20 mile per hour wind gusts out there at times today. It doesnt mean it will be all that windy, but its going to be enough that it kind of bites a little bit with the temperatures around average for this time of year, between 30 and 40 degrees. Its a Beautiful Day out there. Were taking a look at a few different locations here, looking toward mount monadnock, as you can see, blue sky, do we see blue sky in the lakes we sure do, from weirs beach, and seeing plenty of that guy as well. A nice start not only in the state, but the new england area as well. Theres a few clouds well off to our west, most of them staying there, a few clouds to drift through at times here and there. Mostly sunny and most of the day. It will cloud up a little bit late in the day or into tonight as this system drops down out of canada. This cold front will bring some light snow or some snow showers to the mountains overnight. Other than that, as you can see to our west, not a whole lot doing. A couple of weak systems that will approach us over the next few days, well talk about, but milder air streaming in, through tonight, and tomorrow, and monday, and then slowly getting pushed away again on tuesday. Lets head back to New Hampshire here and show you futurecast, show you exactly what to expect in terms of the day today. A lot of sunshine, again, some clouds dropped down along with some snow at times overnight tonight in the North Country, only the rest of the state. Long, it pulls away tomorrow, after some Early Morning snow in the mountains as well. A mixture of sunshine and clouds as this front pulls away and warms us up for sunday. Well be in the 40s and lower 50s a possibility. Monday well start off with snow showers rolling through early and back to sunshine and another mild day ahead for monday as well. And here is a look at futurecast showing those temperatures today. Between 30 and 40 degrees, but watch us rebound from the 20s tonight. Into the upper 30s upper 40s, rather, and lower 50s. Pardon me, im not even used to saying those types of temperatures in february, all that often or at least as often as we have this year. A look at the rest of the weekend shows the warming temperatures, they stay that way for the first half of the week. Biggest question mark on the seven day right now is wednesday, as a system will certainly be moving through, some of our computer models have it moving through purely as rain with warmer temperatures and some of them have it with some mixed precipitation in the beginning and going over to pans out. You. The way. Tomorrow marks the 25th anniversary of the end of the gulf war, hard to believe. A group of marines who were overseas in manchester. That will pretty much be the case all day long and the temperature slowly rising to match it at weirs beach showing the blue skies over the lake and 19 degrees, theyre hoping for lots of cold weather for the ice, which is very thin in this shot here. You can see its open water at the bottom of your screen. But the temperatures will be heading above the freezing mark today. Up into the 30s to another 40 in some spots. Were starting off much cooler in fact, Single Digits in northern New Hampshire and teens and 20s elsewhere. There were about five, six, seven degrees cooler a couple of hours ago. This is some improvement. Well take a look at the spotter temperatures here. Lower 20s in much of southeastern New Hampshire right now, and southwestern New Hampshire, youre in the teens to a couple of lower 20s showing up, the same thing in the lakes region and central New Hampshire. As we head up into northern New Hampshire. You can see a lot of Single Digits on it. A couple of degrees below zero, arrow, just two hours ago. And average high today is 38 in concord and were headed right around that territory. So today, the temperatures, which is something we havent about where youd expect them to. Las night we didnt get much cooler than this in concord and it did get right around average for last night as well. So, an average night and day ahead here with sunshine, temperatures seasonable in the upper 30s and southern New Hampshire and lower 30s to around 30 in northern New Hampshire. Milder temperatures stream in tomorrow the next couple of days. Wednesday the biggest question mark of the upcoming week. Sunshine out there right now, and will it last all day . The odds are, it does. A few of these clouds drift overhead so maybe some clouds in the sky at times. For the most part staying to our west for now. Its this cold front that drops down tonight and as it does so, it brings the chance for snow, only limited to northern New Hampshire where you could see maybe a dusting to an inch or two, especially in the mountain tops out there. Here comes the front after a sunny day bringing snow to northern New Hampshire. Points north the notches up pittsburgh, light snow into tomorrow morning as well. Then it kind of comes to an end and a mixture of clouds and sunshine, intervals of clouds and sun on the way for tomorrow. And then for monday, we start off with a couple of showers rolling through and namely in the form of rain. As we go through the day on monday. It gets increasingly sunny. Here is todays highs, mid and upper 30s, near 40 degrees in southern New Hampshire and tonight, after dropping into the 20s, we see the temperatures rebound into the upper 40s and southern New Hampshire, even northern New Hampshire, making it up around 40 degrees or even some lower 40s. So we head back above average yet again. Its happened so many times this season and as you can see, its about to happen some more, after an average day today. Sunday, monday, and tuesday, are all above average, wednesday, some question marks and well wait and see, will it be all rain or a mix changing topher over to rain.
