The states Drought Management Team met yesterday in concord, including some of the leading experts on agriculture and climate. Officials say the Drought Conditions are intensifying in the southern part of New Hampshire and expanding to the north. Erin a lawsuit alleges that New Hampshires department of children and families was negligent when two little girls in its custody were sexually abused. The girls grandparents say dcyf allowed the children to have unsupervised time with their biological parents, despite the agency knowing about a Police Couple sexually abused other children in a homeless shelter. These horrific acts of sexual abuse were 100 foreseeable and 100 preventable, and these girls should never have been placed back in the care of these monsters who inflicted this abuse upon them. Ray some of the states leading authorities on agriculture and climate gathered in concord yesterday to try to figure out how to handle the states on a scale of one to 10, i would say we are at eight or n ine. Ray this map tells the disturbing story. In just one month, New Hampshires drought has intensified in the south and expanded up north. Officials say the lack of water has caused hundreds of wells to fail. And now many people who Call Companies to deepen or replace their wells often have to wait for weeks. People are spendin if people do not have the money, they will have to make do with offsite sources of water. Ray the states Drought Management Team is asking communities to implement water bans. We are promoting that people fix the leaks in their toilets, that they repair faucets that are leaking. Ray another big concern is the effect the drought is having on farmers. The states commissioner of agriculture says farmers often have to irrigate crops around the clock. Has been so severe this year is, it is really cumulative. We had a drought last year, and it has just become worse. We do not know what the future is going to bring. Police say a meredith man was drunk when he drove the wrong way on interstate 93 early this morning, nearly causing a headon crash. State police say 34yearold in the northbound lanes near canterbury. Troopers say his blood alcohol was twice the legal limit. The mother arrested following a standoff in candia is now facing an attempted murder charge. Police say 45yearold Deborah Deslongchamps fired a gun in the direction of her 12yearold daughter on tuesday morning. The girl was able to get out of the home unharmed. After a threehour standoff, deslongchamp surrendered. She was initially charged with reckless conduct, false imprisonment, and endangering the welfare of a child. Police say the victim was walking to school yesterday morning when angel mateo grabbed the teen and brought the victim to a nearby apartment. Police say mateo held the victim for more than two hours before letting the teen go. The victim walked to school and called their mom, who alerted police. Mateo was already on pretrial probation, and was wearing an ankle bracelet.
