The governor signed the standing move and everyone can buy narcan. For 50, you get two doses with an atomizer and instructions. This is really for families and friends of people who are suffering from addiction. It is very important that while we are in the middle of this epidemic, we save as many lives as possible, which narcan helps us do. We still know we have much more work to do. Ray experts say the total number of Drug Overdose deaths in New Hampshire could reach 400 this year. Department of health and Human Services made narcan available at the Community Health centers. The department is the first in New Hampshire to partner with the Police Assisted Addiction and recovery initiative. Officers will help people find a treatment and recovery center. Timothy connifey faces several charges including witness tampering and perjury. Early this morning, we have the clouds continuing to fill in. The rain shower is poised showers are poised. It will be heavy at times before winding down this evening. Temperatures ahead of that are 28 a top mount washington. The warmth continues to come in. This train of moisture along the southwest flow also continues. High temperatures will get back into the 40 s or near 50 thanks to a breeze. A lot of places will be stuck 4344 with the rainfall. This is fairly progressive. As New Hampshire continues to battle a major drug epidemic, governor Maggie Hassan signed an order to stop narcan stock narcan at all rite aid locations in the state. Ray brewer has the details. Died in New Hampshire this year from opioid overdoses. Governor Maggie Hassan is calling the stocking of narcan a lifesaving move. I m very grateful that rite aid stepped up and is leading the way for New Hampshire pharmacies. We are losing almost a person a day to overdoses, especially to fentanyl right now. The narcan would allow somebody to administer a drug safely topull somebody out of an overdose. Ray with the Standing Order, anyone can now buy narcan at rite aids across New Hampshire. The cost will be 50 in the kit and instructions. Not every rite aid aid in New Hampshire will necessarily have narcan that day, but they can all order it or they can tell you what rite aid store does have it. Fight the most pressing Public Health and safety challenge facing New Hampshire. Earlier this year, the governor signed legislation allowing doctors to prescribe narcan to the families and loved ones of addicts. Health and Human Services may 4500 narcan kits available at Community HealthCenters Across the state this year. The pharmacist will train people about how to administer it and what they need to do after they give a dose of narcan. Ray a spokesman for rite aid says the pharmacy chain is committed to helping reduce Overdose Deaths in the state. There are 68 rite aids in New Hampshire. Erin thank you. Students in nashua are headed back to school after officials closed all of the city schools the email threat was specific to nashua s two high schools, monday s date, and how students would be hurt. Police are confident that the schools are now safe. They checked every school and did not find anything suspicious. Nonetheless, the superintendent stands by the decision to cancel classes yesterday. Had we help school in our other schools, we would have had a very high rate of absenteeism. Erin investigators are not calling the threat a hoax.
