younger than 18 will not be able to use indoor tanning beds the new law is designed to prevent kids from getting skin canner. some studies show that tanning beds can cause melanoma. about 60 people showed up for the public hearing last night and many of them support the ban. during the hearing supporters say that the current law requires parental permission for minors to tan but it is not tough enough. >> people under the age of 75 who is exposed to indoor tanning have a 75% increased risk of skin cancer. and the younger you exposed to indoor tanning the great your risk of potentially fatal melanoma. >> tanning salons that violate the ban could be taken to court. the ban takes effect tomorrow. baltimore county is considering a similar law. the county council will consider that measure next week. in other news happening around your area this morning. a high school student is recovering today after being stabbed in the school's cafeteria. the school was treated by the school nurse and then sent to the hospital though his jr.s are not series. police say six people are in custody but they are not students. investigators have trying to determine how the suspects got into the school in the first place. and another stabbing under investigation, this one involving a type age boy, he is reportedly 15-years-old. it happened yesterday morning. right now police say no arrests have been made. and for the first time a glimpse of the baltimore city police dog shot when he was mistaken for another dog by another police officer. it happened on sunday. the german shepherd is named blade and she recovering from surgery at the falls road animal hospital. veterinarians removed two bullets from his shoulder. blade's handler has been at his side the last few days. all the
