It will be more than a year after tensing shot and killed sam dubose during a traffic stop. He was fired by uc police and indicted for murder. The judge cited the need to schedule a number of expert delay. It s frustrating for dubose s girlfriend who, outside court today, questioned why tensing is free on bond while awaiting trial. A man who lives feet from the crash ran to help with another passerby, but the flames were too much and it was too late to the homeowner tripped over the barbed wire fence and had scrapes on his clothing from where he tried to get to the vehicle to help the subject. The last remaining armed occupiers say they intend to turn themselves in later this morning. Nevada law maker michelle fiori, ammon bundy s lawyers are expected to meet the protesters at the fbi check point at 8 00 pacific this morning, where the occupiers will turn themselves in. Tensions were high last night campsite. Federal agents say one of the protesters went outside of the barricades. It s important to note, no shots were fired. They were born last month, and they have been under the care of biologists and Newport Aquarium staff. The pups are growing up at an offsite Animal Health facility. Each pup is swimming in a 1000gallon saltwater tank, and since they were born they have doubled in weight. The shark ray is a rare species, and getting them to breed successfully is quite an accomplishment. This is the first time shark ray pups have been born under professional animal care. This is the second time that we ve had shark ray pups here at the Newport Aquarium. Mark because breeding shark so challenging, these pups will be studied for a long time.
