This route because thats one of the main routes here in marshal. I want to show you how much the snow is agent up in parking lots here though. I have gotten my tape measure out, just 2, right here, in this parking lot. And as you can see, its piling up on surfaces. These cars that have been sitting here, covered with snow. But, the good news is, this kind of snow is a very powdery snowfall, so you can easily wipe it away from your cars. But, underneath that, you see that layer of ice there . Thats also what you are going to see on those roads. So, have the windshield scraper ready to go this morning as you make your way out to your cars. This is a look at the surfaces and other things here in parking lots but many secondary roads, we have encountered from mars hill over to marshal this morning, are snow cover. So, highway 25 70, highway 213, we are seeing dot crews out treating those roads because, again, those are some of the main routes here. But a lot of the secondary roads, still covered with snowfall. No reports of accidents here but right now we are seeing more vehicles out on the roads. So, definitely use caution because of that snow, and black ice on the roads. Jaclyn other roads are dealing with the same problem this morning. If you are driving near the Madison County and Yancey County line, take it easy. Slick roads are reported all in this area. Drivers in Mitchell County need to look out for black ice throughout the county. Not only on the secondaries but some of the main roads as well. Highway 19 for spruce pine is still a problem spot this morning, so keep that in mind on your morning commute. Dangerous driving conditions are also an issue in swain county this morning, if you live in this area, use extra caution if you are heading out the door. Black ice is a problem all across the county. Harold powell junior beat Christopher Lawings so bade he suffered a head jigs and remains in icu in mission hospital. Powell is charged with assault with a Deadly Weapon with intent to kill. While his parents away, matt mor gan set a fire where his brother slept. He watched the fire burn up the house while his brother died. He had a cell phone with him but did not call 911.
