now. We are starting to see some clearer conditions for the moment up and down the east coast. But, there is an impending cold front with an area of low pressure thats going to be gathering moisture from the gulf of mexico. As we head into lunchtime, you are still seeing the dlowd cover dominating, spotty showers further south. The upstate is going to be seeing rain first and then we are starting to see more scattered rain showers as we make our way east of i26, by about 6 p. M. But, take a look at this. As we head overnight, thats when the broadband of rain is coming. This is ahead of the front and it will continue to move quickly through our region and head off and by sunday morning we are already looking at some clearer conditions. By the afternoon hours, blue sky and sunshine. So, certainly something to look forward to for the second half of our weekend. But our temperatures are going to take a tumble at that time. Now, yesterday, we saw trace amounts of rainfall. Many mountains locations,s will than a tenth of an inch. Today, going to be a little bit different. We will ramp up that accumulation. Maybe anywhere from about a quarter inch to half an inch of rain with localized spots. For so for the southern mountains and gain the front moving quickly so leaving very we will see some of the clearer conditions and dry conditions returning as we make our way into the upcoming work week. Upper 40s, low, maybe a few areas getting into the mid 40s, as we make our way further to the west. Its because of the cloud cover will keep things more so on the warm side. We will bring back sunshine and drop off temperatures significantly. Monday and tuesday, upper 30s and low 40s. By wednesday, a slight chance of high elevation mountain snow and look at that, 33 degrees. Thats where we are forecasting at and our overnight lows back into the upper teens and low 20s. So, the chill is going to be returning and i think our next chance for similar significant snow and potential rain is going to be coming at the end of the work week. I will let you know when you want to turn the heat on coming zack good saturday morning to you all. Another quiet start but we see clouds rolling into the region. Morning Hours. But keeping things on the dry side. Things will ramp up later this afternoon, a few chances of showers, but overall, not a whole lot in terps of activity through the daytime highs, it will be more so overnight into sunday morning. 43 in asheville. You see the stormy clouds across the region and the due point as well at 41. For this time of year and this region if you are in the low and mid 40s that is just enough moisture content to facilitate a few showers in the afternoon. So, that is what we will see and be monitoring. Lying clouds as well. 44 degrees for the moment. And we are in the 40s areawide. Here is the
Bigger Picture. Clear for the moment. I do think dry and quiet up and down the east coast but there is a system we want to focus our efforts on. An area of low pressure, with an associated cold front. I want you to notice where the precipitation lies. It is ahead of the front and it will continue east towards our region. We will wrap in some moisture frfr the gulf of mexico and thats going to be heading in our direction later on this afternoon overnight hours bringing us into sunday morning and then we are going to clear out some of the skies. And then later on in the evening, overnight, there is the broadband of rain and it will continue to progress very quickly and take a look at this, by 6 a. M. Its already clearing out. So maybe some fog concerns for tomorrow morning. Or show showers are going to be disappearing by the afternoon hours and we are looking at blue skies an
Clear Conditions from sunday afternoon bringing us into the start of the work week. But, thats going to drop off our temperatures dramatically. Now, yesterday, we got trace rainfall amount, many areas left a tenth of an inch. We could get half an inch of rain today and maybe thats just about it. After that we are looking at some clearer conditions and lots of sunshine. So, upper 40s and low 50s. Because that cloud cover keeping in some of that temperature heat and then as we make our way into the work week, look at that. Sunshine, but 30s and low 40s monday and tuesday, and then look at that, hovering around the
Freezing Point for wednesday. We could catch a glimpse of a few flakes on the
