Police have not said what caused the crash. 3 3 a Mcdowell County man accepts a plea deal in a rape case we have been following. Eugene carson pleaded guilty to one count of seconddegree rape. He was facing two charges of statutory rape. A judge sentenced him to 10 years in prison. Carson is one of four suspects charged in the rape of a 15yearold last year. 3 3 a Graham County man is sentenced to six years in prison on child porn charges. Mark tygart, of robbinsville, was arrested in 2014 after an undercover officer found him posting links to child porn in an online chat room. Court documents say a deputy found three guns in kenneth sherlins vehicle during a traffic stop in 2014. According to statements made prohibited from possessing a firearm due to prior convictions.
