thousand 3 we also have an update this morning on a bank robbery suspect. police have now identified him as 47-year-old tony reems of lenoir. marshall police believe he robbed the first citizens bank there last thursday. he was last seen driving a 2006 burgundy ford expedition. if you know where he is... contact marshall police or the madison county sheriff's office. 3 3 we are still waiting this morning to learn the identities of the people involved in a deadly crash in asheville yesterday afternoon. it happened on sweeten creek road in the royal pines community. police say a car hit a tree. at least one person died and two others were hurt according to police. 3 3 3 new information is released in the case of a murdered asheville artist. chris ortega was found strangled to death inside his coleman avenue apartment in october 2014. juan jimenez of swannanoa is now set to go to trial for first degree murder. new documents quote a woman who says jimenez told her that he watched ortega's home and waited until his roommate left. ortega's mother was in court and spoke about the news of 3 it makes me sick to my stomach, but the thing that i'm really really happy about that has come out from it is it shows his character. in addition to his murder charge jimenez was also indicted on 20 counts of producing child pornography. police say he took photos and video of a 16-year old girl performing sex acts. 3 3 a convicted felon is back in jail in mcdowell county on a bond of nearly four-million dollars. kevin dalton is accused of violating his mother's protective order eight times. the assistant district attorney said dalton kept posting bail and committing crimes at his parent's house. 3 he's also charged with second- degree arson because in one of those cases he tried to set fire to the house where his parents live dalton is now charged as a habitual offender. his mother expects him to go to prison. if convicted, he faces a minimum sentence of 46 years. 3 3 3 china is reporting a new case of the zika virus in a person who recently traveled overseas. this is the first zika country. officials downplayed the risk, saying harsh winter weather would prevent mosquitoes from spreading the disease. officials are urging expecting women to avoid traveling to areas hit by the infection. 3 a georgia sheriff's deputy is on the mend after being shot. this, after an hours long stand-off in pooler, georgia yesterday. chatham county deputies say the officer was serving a warrant on a man suspected of stalking when the deputy was shot. county and local police responded to the scene, kicking off a four-hour standoff with the heavily armed suspect. police eventually took the suspect into custody without incident. the officer was treated at a been released. 3 a scary moment for two drivers in canada. it happened when their truck fell into a giant sinkhole ... and into the freezing cold water down below. the men were towing a landscaping trailer when it woman says a franklin county deputy helped her jamaica harris started feeling sick ... turns out the high school student was pregnant. she delivered a baby boy in the bathroom just as the deputy arrived to her home. harris says she's been so busy going to class and work, she had no idea she was expecting. the officer unwrapped the umbilical cord from around the baby's neck and kept him warm
