Now new questions are being raised about whether wells fargo executives will facing any consequences. This morning the worlds biggest bank is sparking more outrage. The wells fargo executive in million unauthorized accounts is retiring at the end of the year. But fortune reports that according to Financial Disclosure documents, shes leaving with a payout of more than 124 million in stocks, options and shares. By no means is this a small retirement package. This is one of the largest for a Senior Executive that ive seen in my career. Reporter in july, the banks ceo describes her as one of the most valuable welar our culture, a champion for our customers, and a role model for responsible, principled and inclusive leadership. Last week wells fargo agreed to pay 185 million in fines over the fake accounts. The bank saying it has fired more than 5,300 employees over the last five years for their involvement in the scam. To meet sales goals some former employees say they were pressured to sell account at one time i had 15 accounts at once. It was just very frustrating. These are accounts i never opened. Reporter a wells fargo spokesperson says she made a personal decision to retire after 27 years with the, company but would not comment on her compensation. People voicing their disbelief online asking, have you no shame or conscience . And is there even justice at all . The spokesperson asked that the unauthorized accounts were identified by the companys own internal controls and that once the banks leaders were aware of the behavior, they team members responsible and worked to strengthen oversight.
