there will be snow around. that can make any commute more difficult. we dont need that on a monday. here are your weather headlines for tonight and into the next 24 to 48 hours. the snow does begin tonight. its falling in richland county. it will be light. the amounts are not impressive by northeast ohio standards. its really a nonevent with light accumulations of generally an inch on are so in the heaviest spots. many of you will end up with less. its a light fluffy snow. more snow monday evening into tuesday. this is still not really pinned down but we are getting more confident that there will be snow east of cleveland falling monday night into tuesday. Tuesday Morning of course is a much bigger commute. right now just looking at the forecast, i am expecting some alerts to the easterly tuesday. stay tuned. here is the snow on radar, mansfield seeing first flakes, coming up on ashland. get closer towards portions of medinah into richland and ashland, cell by to bell shell by to belville towards lodi on 71 and 76. lets check that o dot camera. visibility is good. the radar is seeing the snowflakes but theyre likely not reaching the ground. the air is very dry. if you download the weather app you may see snow on the radar but nothing falling out the window. it will take time for the snowflakes to make it to the surface. how much in terms of amounts and timing . lets break it down for you. here is 8 00 tomorrow morning. notice a light swath of snow. temperatures will warm to the mid and upper 20s early monday. that snow will continue in a scattered fashion through monday morning and quit by afternoon as temperatures get above freezing tomorrow. i think there will be quite a bit of meting into tomorrow afternoon. part two, well switch to that. go into Effect Tomorrow afternoon for ashtabula county. that goes through midday tuesday. thats because we are expecting three or more inches of snow there from part number two of the storm. now, that Second System is still back here. its an upper storm in the rockies. as that dodges down to the east and southeast, we are going to get an area of low pressure developing along this front in arkansas tonight. the track of that area of low pressure will be first to the east and then a hook to the forth toward the great lakes and ontario. the big question is where exactly will this track set up . if it tracks tots east, i am talking 30 or 40 miles, we will almost get nothing. if it tracks a little bit closer to cleveland, we could really see significant snow amounts get pushed into northeast ohio monday night into tuesday. were talking numbers over six inches in some cases possible especially as you approach the Pennsylvania State line. lets break the second part of first we will start off monday afternoon dry with temperatures in mid 30s. as we go through monday night, models are showing snow filling in. canton, dover, youngstown, towards ashtabula, lighter snow towards wooster and cleveland and west of there, elyria, sandusky, little in the way of snow if anything at all. that continues into the Tuesday Morning commute. it could be a mix down to the south with difficult travel at the turnpike, shore way, 90 east, geauga, ashtabula, portage. it moves out by tuesday afternoon with temperatures near 40 late tuesday. look at the possible snow fall amounts. we could see four or six inches, maybe more. thats why the Winter Weather advisories are again mainly east of cleveland, not a lake snow. this is a system snow in the primary snowbelt. temperatures are in the 30s through the middle of the week, a chilly day thursday and then still looking for a
