M. , and will remain open until 7 30 p. M. there is a lot on the line for our governor, john kasich, he will drop his race for the the hawkeye Buckeye State today. he is hoping to celebrate a victory this evening. meanwhile on the other side of the ticket, Hillary Clinton is expected to be Bernie Sanders. when you had to the polls, there is potential for confusion this morning when you cast your ballot in the president ial primary. Tiffany Tarpley joins us live with what you need to know before you head out. good morning, tiffany. reporter good morning, voters that are casting a gop ballot. we are here outside the Gunning Recreation Center on clevelands west side. the lights just turn on here a few minutes ago. they are getting ready for those doors to open. we want to make sure that you are ready before you had to that ballot booth this morning. here is one of the questions being raised by republicans. voting on the republican ballot, why am i voting for president ial delegates, twice. of our president s. one for an atlarge president ial delegates and one for a district delegate. there was a time when ohios republicans vote was divided. now, this republican primary, it is winner take all of the delegates. the american policy roundtable, a conservative policy group says the ballot is very confusing. they have places for you to vote for each, but if the winner takes all, how do you determine a winner . you tally both atlarge delegates in the district. you cannot split them. if you like your candidate for president , vote for the candidate. vote for that candidates district delegates. reporter that is really the bottom line. the secretary of state says all of the votes will be tallied, but ohios republican office, they are saying that those at large delegates will count. if you have a candidate that you want, make sure you pick them in both of those thoughts. the atlarge delegates are the coming up in the next half hour there is some pretty big issues ohio. i will have a rundown of a few of them at 5 30. they are not getting it important as well allowed to vote today after a judges ruling on friday. Bernie Sanders successfully sued john hewson over the interpretation of ohios election laws. so, 17yearolds who turn 18 before the general election canal vote for nominees. there are an estimated 16,000, 17yearolds register to vote in ohio. we will also see if ohios semi open primaries will have any impact today. it means voters can cross party lines, so, a democrat could vote for trump, or even cast a ballot for john kasich. voters simply have to ask for a party ballot at the polls. Cuyahoga County has more voters switching ballots this year. 16 of democrats requested republican ballots. and a little over 1 of thousands of ohioans have already cast their ballots. early voting began begins february 17, wrapped up yesterday afternoon. raking down the numbers, more hunt more than for hundred 70,000 absentee ballots have been cast. 45 of them were democrats, 53 were republican ballots.
