been anything but predictable. sara rosario, nbc news. back at home, a house fire in cleveland saturday night injured at least one person. it happened in the 4000 block of west 48th street. the cleveland fire department is looking into the cause. the fire spread it to a grill on the back porch where a propane tank exploded. a family was home when it happened. everyone made it out safely. i should say everyone made it out but the one person was taken to the hospital only as a precaution. it is a crime that shocked northeast ohio. after numerous bodies were discovered on east side of lived. seven years later this is what it looks like. on saturday, a group organized by black on black crime cleaned the lot. the families of the victims said they heard promises are about building a memorial but it has not happened yet. >> cleveland have some pride and it is about the 11 women murdered and i want to say that my heart goes out to the families and he will never be forgotten. >> the that his remains have been found. 1989 when a gunmen abducted him from the roadway near his home in st. joseph, 80 miles northwest of minneapolis. he has not been seen since and no one has been arrested or charged in connection with the abduction. in the middle of the country it was a jolting morning and parts of at least 76 states as an earthquake in ok caused some damage. it was the latest earlier this evening, blowing sand and beaches being eaten away, the angry ocean already caused this damage to the fourth avenue beach wildwood. >> we were here yesterday with our granddaughter and everything was flat. today there is a couple foot drive. >> we are here for another week. what are we going to do for another week? >> reporter: foremost, these are dangerous waves. surfers in cape may call them perfect. >> it is very big and very shallow water. it is pretty scary. good waves. back into a hurricane. >> this is -- we have to watch it closely because it is moving back over the open waters of the atlantic ocean and. i think that we will see at strengthening at the least into a tropical storm and then could become a hurricane? well, we will need to see how quickly there is another system that might scooter by and push it out. how quickly that happens, will determine if it will have that sort of incubation time in the ocean to turn into a hurricane. >> no an we are -- it is beautiful in northeast ohio. don't worry. if you are going into the open waters of lake erie, it looks excellent. winds from the north, 5 to 15, and the waves, less than 2 feet. get out on your in downtown, taking place at the burke lakefront airport, temperatures, 9:00 a.m., upper 60s, lunchtime, upper 70s, and we close in on the lower 80s later on this afternoon. it is a picture-perfect day in northeast ohio. a cooler start, 48 in wooster but up towards ashtabula, youngstown, the mid-50s right now, akron-canton, upper 50s as we speak. fog is not a huge issue but if you are waking up towards wayne county, you may run into a little bit of it so you may want to leave a 5 to 10 minutes early if you're going into worship services. otherwise, the radar is nice and dry, compliments of high pressure, inducing a sinking motion of the atmosphere called subsidence and that is what suppresses the growth and development of clouds and so there is lots of sunshine for us. notice on the western edge of afternoon and throughout the day tomorrow and for the remainder of the work week. talking about post-tropical cyclone hermine, again, it is currently over the open waters of the atlantic. we are affected to strengthen and to brush the new england coastline, so we will be watching that carefully over the next week. back at home, things look -- if you are taking a staycation for labor day weekend, through the morning hours, it looks wonderful. you will open up the windows and get the nice cool air to rush in. i think that throughout the afternoon, the temperatures, upper thursday, friday, and saturday. so ladies, extra hold hairspray by the end of the upcoming work week. turning to your health headlines, research on a new experimental drug for alzheimer's disease. it is showing promise. drug company bio jet developed it and funded in part of the drug was found to reduce plaque in the brain which experts believe is part of the development of alzheimer's. experts are cautious but doctors say that the drug is promising. researchers are hopeful he can turn into a treatment for alzheimer's, but they will not been under intense criticism for the dramatic price increase but it turns out that the same epipen sold for about $300 in the united states can be bought for one third the price in canada. steve brown reports as he traveled across the border. >> are getting into the 90s. so summer is not going anywhere anytime yet. speaking of not going anywhere, we have the post-tropical cyclone hermine that is brewing off of the coast, the east coast, and i think that we will ow and momentum and eventually brushing places like boston massachusetts with a lot of cloud cover and a lot of rainfall through the upcoming work week. here is what it looks like now through by lunchtime. we will call it sunny side up into this afternoon, a beautiful day. to get out and about and to enjoy it. i want you to wear the sunscreen. overnight tonight, early tomorrow, a great-looking labor day for northeast ohio, not temperatures today, upper 70s, low to mid-80s, a light breeze, sunset just before the 8:00 hour. we will dive into the upper 50s, low 60s overnight so
